That's one nice burb. Really clean swap. The only other thing I would have done was swap the steering column and gauge cluster to their manual varients to make everything look all original, but I understand how much pain steering columns are to swap. Good job.

I've done this swap before in an older square body pick up and in a 1980 trans am, the steering column is one of the easier thing to swap considering what you just did, and besides, you gotta mount the clutch pedal up near the column anyways

@truthseeker2190 I had to do a column in an 05 burb, and it was a pain. Of course, a lot more wiring b.s in those.

I totally agree with both of you. I actually saved all the wiring and the steering column from the manual. Just never did it. I guess it didn't bother me enough lol I have a wife and daughter. You'd be amazed how many hair bow ties they can get on both shifters 😅

@@GlacierAutomotiveSpecial-sk4ge I know what you mean and by that point in the build your so close to a test drive with that shifter sticking up from the floor your too excited to even really care about the steering column I drove that trans am around for the longest time before I realized the auto trans reverse light switch was different and the backup lights were on all the time till I swapped that switch on the column

@@joseesparza2364 the worst job I've done on a passenger car was a heater core on an '07 Pontiac torrent, the entire drivers compartment needs to be disassembled, nightmare job

Did you use the driveshafts from the donor?

I did not. I took it to a local machine shop. They took my original drive shaft and cut both ends off. Made me a brand new one. It had to be a few inches longer. I Think it was around $260 to $280. Balanced and greasable u-joints
