It's not as hard as you think. I am a jack of all trades as do some modding over the last year and my skills have progressed quickly.I think yeah I'd do that too as I watch Fox look over the machine. Anything I lack the tools for can easily be outsourced as you don't need be able to do everything yourself. Just enough of it. I imagine my work could really go to next level if I had a work shop with a few more tools rather just being a guy who makes things in his apartment heh. I was so scared touch stuff when I started, now I just start opening out things and taking them apart without any hesitation. Rebuildling the control panel basically the main thing you'd need do here, which you have the original panel to get all measurements off of. If he doesn't have the ability to print the graphics, there's tons of places that do that sort of thing. Putting in sticks and buttons is really simple. I refuse to pay someone else to do that for me. I'd definitely would replaced those as they likely taken 30 years of wear and tear. It's something you'd want to start fresh with. None of this looks too tough to fix. I am sure it will be a wonderful sight when it's all done.

I was in the Army (Infantry) from 1993-1996. I also remember seeing AVP Arcade at the mall arcade. It’s such a great game. Congratulations!

I’ve always wanted this cabinet ever since I first played Alien vs Predator way back in 1995. I even tried buying a semi-functioning cab with a shattered monitor 20 years ago from a bowling alley, and the guy working at the ally tried ripping me off and was asking 8,000 for it. He sold it to a friend of his a week later for just 150. I still despise that prick for what he did.

If you want to add some variety, a Mistercade makes a killer All-CPS platform to run in a big blue. That’s what I’m doing in my SF2ce Blue and it’s amazing!

Please change the stock fan out. These fans are obnoxiously loud and there are great options out there now. Also, the clips don't clamp the boards together good enough. I used some straps that goes across the A+B boards to really lock them into place. If you think of an alternative let us know! :) Great pick up!

I recently converted an original midway war gods cab into a mortal Kombat 2, when I switched on the original marquee light, the noise hum of the light was louder than the game! Needless to say I bought a new “silent” led light bar on Amazon 😂

Hey @19KFox, congratulations! It looks like you scored a good one. There's some work to be done, mostly cleanup and redoing the rotten wood parts, but all in all it looks in pretty good shape. What type of controls are you going to put in? Sanwa? Are you going to do the buttons too, while you're at it? I'd suggest looking for some side art that's closer to the marque, rather than the one you have now or what's on it today with just the boring logo. But that's my opinion. Can I ask what you paid for it?? And....when can we look forward to the next "part" in this saga of reconditioning? Happy New Year! Jay J
