What a neat old place. It would be awesome to restore it as close to original as possible but it would be so expensive and time consuming. If only those walls could talk, the stories it would tell.

The blue bottle is an old MOM (Milk of Magnesia) medicine bottle. I'd be in heaven out on that property! I love old stuff! What's fun is digging in the ground because back in the day, they burned their trash. You can find some nice old bottles, mason jars etc...

That is a “water cooler”. You run water through a plastic tubing, from the water hydrant to drip onto a roll of straw-like material that surrounds that cylinder that turns like a fan that blows cool air. We had one in our house in Kansas in the late fifties. The humidity would swell all the doors making it hard to open and close them. I remember sleeping in front of it in Kansas 100+ degree weather. I was preteen and loved it. My Grandmother worried I was going to get sick sleeping that way. I was fine. A very good memory. That blue bottle is probably Mylanta or a stomach concoction like magnesium for constipation. I love this video. If I was able, I would be adventuring out like this.

I really enjoyed learning everything you were willing to share. I was laughing when your friend kissed the bass then let it go. My brother used to do the same thing with the first bass of the trip. Cool the one thing you said ac just a swamp cooler. Oscar Palmer of Phoenix is credited with the invention of the evaporative cooler. In 1908 he built the first drip type evaporative cooler in Arizona.
