19TH CENTURY PUB AND INN, SO MUCH BRASS IN THE BAR!!!

In this weeks video we visit this extremely interesting 19th century pub and inn. This once busy watering hole and bed and breakfast on the hill now sits quiet and lifeless whilst slowly being taken over by nature. The downstairs bar still full of brass trophy's, tankards, old bottles and saddles is a real beauty and really brings the past back to life.

What a heap! It looks as if someone has moved stuff from a house into there as well. The thing at 39:33 is a Russian hand painted brass samovar. A samovar is basically a glorified kettle. In Russia they’re still popular in rural areas and take pride of place on the dining table or sideboard. They usually have a teapot, which is missing on this one. The teapot is filled from the tap and then placed on the very top to keep it hot. The water in older ones was originally heated by an internal central tube containing burning wood and charcoal but modern ones are electric.

Oh wow what a find. So many items of value in there. It looked like maybe its been used for storage. Wonder what the back story is on the people that owned it is. Such an interesting find. A lot of valuables inthis place. Sad to no one cares enough to go through it and sort it out. Thanks for the explore. Well worth it.

Great find both so much to see i wonder if the owners died because their's so much left behind and it sure looks like it hasn't been lived in for a good few years i see a few things that i have owned in the past.
