Is there anything special you should do once your have the transmission lines connected? Like possibly purging the system or should it be fine?

Is there tranmission fluid in the radiator? If so, do you need to add any to replace what's removed with the old radiator?

If I were looking to upgrade my radiator to something more effective than stock, what would you recommend. I live in a place where the summers reach temperatures of 110+ degrees Fahrenheit and wanted something to allow my vehicle to be able to idle longer than 10 minutes without it nearly overheating.

Its a tab on the bottom of the radiator to release the rubber boot. I know because I broke mine just like you did in this video.. lol it still will go on the new one, just not lock in place now.

You mentioned the transmission lines having transmission fluid, is that as a just in case there is a leak os should the transmission fluid levels also be checked after filling the radiator?
@paulrevere90714 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the vid. First off...can’t figure out why you agonized over the bottom hose and the little one next to it. Take them off at the block and deal with removing them from the radiator when you pull the radiator. Plus, you don’t need a special tool.

GM going to no pet cock in radiators is just plain stupid. Someone should make a lower hose kit to drain out cooling system when needed.
