thanks for the video. You did not mention anything about the thermostat gasket. the one you took off had a gasket, but you did not put one on the new housing.

Very nice and easy. My model did not have the rad drain there, I just drained off the front from undoing the housing bolts. Also, I didn't need to replace the housing, just the thermostat itself. Great video, you guys are awesome and keep it up!

Very easy to follow on my 2002 yukon. The only issue I had was getting to the housing bottom screw. The serpentine belt made it difficult to get to. Otherwise it was easy

when refilling coolant, you say tunr the engine on and let run for a while. My question is, do you leave the cap off of the fill tank? I was told something about bleeding the system of air bubbles. is that what your doing when you let it run?

My Tahoe has been floating in the 220-230s recently I suspect it may be the thermostat. The fans turn on at 230 and are extremely loud as well but it does cool the engine back off. I am dribbling coolant out the resovior overflow.

i have a 2005 chevy silverado and soon as i start my truck the radiator fan goes on and even when i turn my truck off it stays on until the battery is drained...i replaced the engine coolant censor and it ran well for maybe 2-3 days without this issue but its doing it again...my air conditioner works fine could a faulty thermostat cause this? if i unplug the battery the fan stops thats it. also sometimes my gas gauge doesnt read or takes awhile to read how much gas is in some maybe electrical..my engine light used to be on constantly if that helps but has since turned off since replacing the coolant censor

Hi there awesome video. Wanted to know if you need to change housing also or just thermostat? Also I have a question. I have a 2000 GMC Yukon and lately I have no heat, when I come to a stop light the truck blows cold air when I start to drive warm but not hot? Also the hose that sit's on top of rad has no pressure when I squeeze the hose feels very soft like there is nothing in the hose. Thank you

Typically you would do the housing with the thermostat. But it sounds like you may have a clogged heater core or a radiator hose. Hope this helps, thanks for watching! 1aauto.com 888-844-3393
