Oh no.... I did that with my 99 Ford and it had dumped ALL of the coolant & water into the oil. Checked the oil and it looked like chocolate milk

God, I wish I knew what’s going on with my girlfriend‘s car. Randomly today she just started pouring out coolant. No signs of any issue. No white smoke just started pouring out when you refill the reservoir you look under the car you see it coming right out😭

I have a 2006 Saab 97X 4.2 a.k.a. Chevy trailblazer and there’s coolant leaking from behind the power steering pump near the engine. When I say behind, I mean, if you’re looking at the power steering pump from the passenger side tire. The water pump was done recently and VIP auto said that it wasn’t the water pump. They claimed that it was the transmission cooler lines but these all seem fine.

I recently had a clear leak under my toyota corolla, the fluid had a very slight oily feel. When I mopped the leak from the concrete garage floor it left a very white chalky residue. I now don't see anymore leakage, what could this be ?

thank youfor the video. i have a leak on my 02 grand prix 3100 se and i replaced my radiator last summer i paid $62 for it on amazon it is leaking around the hose and getting on the belt causing it to slip. and my engine was running hotter and power steering gets hard soetimes and my battery light cycles on and off.

I loved all of 1A How-to videos. I detected a coolant leak from my Nissan 2001 xtera SUV. I saw a lot of steam smoke ( vapor) came out of the back engine around the oil filter and back if top engine block. I was unable to pin point exactly where the leak actually came from since I do not know the coolant system component arrangement on my Nissan. Think you can help sharing some video tips ? Appreciate a lot.

My 2010 FX35 Reservoir goes over the Max line, i replaced the thermostat with an new OEM and a OEM Radiator cap. I don't see any spills, or smells or smoke. I have to siphone it from the reservoir and put it back into the radiator. The car does not overheat or has never overheated.... i'm at a loss right now.

I bought my 2004 Tahoe new and within a month the heater core had a leak on the passenger floor. The issue never returned, but recently I have developed a leak in front of the tires. I assume that it’s the radiator, but looking under the hood while the engine is running droplets are coming from the center of the fan. Need to get it handled soon since it leaked on my belts.

Weird problem. 2012 Prius, 145k miles. Oil changed religiously at every 10K, 0W20 full synthetic. Never driven at low coolant levels. Sudden loss of coolant on the highway. drove 200 miles one way, no problem. on the way back, stopped at every rest area to add DI water, i.e. every 30 miles or so. In each case, there is still some water in the plastic tank. Engine runs smooth, accelerates smooth, purrs like a cat. No white water vapors in the exhaust. Took apart the front, and looked for pink residue around connections and radiator seal lines. No pink residue. Rubber hoses are tightened with original spring clamps, but no pink leaks. Electric water pump is clean. However, there is pink residue at the back of the plastic overflow tank, the firewall and the drive shaft. Sometimes the leak is so big, that it ends up on the front passenger tire and the passenger side doors. How does it go from inside to the OUTSIDE the vehicle is a mystery. Check engine never shows up. The high temperature light comes on and off, sometimes flashing, sometimes solid, then disappears. Driving around town seems no loss so far. Planning to do a pressure test and exhaust fumes test later on today. No puddles of coolant under the car.

an expansion plug or "freeze plug" . its a potiental place to check for a leak. this "A-1" mechanic must not be familiar with engines, but he seems to do well with the camera..

My car is at the mechanics right now. Before it was dropped off I got under the car and recorded with my phone the leak, coolent is dripping about every 2 second to 5 second onto the ground. It first drops down ftom the water pump area and then onto a hose close to the front of the vehicle then drops to the ground. I have to fill the reservoir up to the line every day about a cup. On my phone when I press record to record the video my flashlight comes on really bright so I can really get a good look under the car to see where the drip was coming from. I followed it up to the water pump. The mechanic is saying its the radiator? So, how can it be the radiator leaking when on my video I can clearly see it dripping from the water pump area. The radiator look dry. Any thoughs? Car is at the mechanics now.
