Make sure to start the car after the oil and filter change and monitor your oil pressure gauge . It should increase in pressure within seconds , if all is correct. ALWAYS lubricate gasket on new filter and replace gasket on drain in plug if torn or frayed. Great video!

Where did you get 7.2 quarts from? My owners manual says it requires 5.7 liters (6.0 quarts)

It's too much, the oil on the dipstick should reach the BOTTOM of the upper cross-hatch area when checking a cold engine, somewhere WITHIN that same area if you're checking a warm engine, and of course NEVER above it! I own a 2010 CTS and that is what the dealership told me, he overfilled it!(oh yeah and it is 6.0 qts. total w/ filter change & all)

What is the cover on the oil pan with 10- 10mm bolts.? If removed can it be a good cleanout for oil pan? What is the best way to remove it now that bolts are removed?

Great for people with a lift in their garage. But for us commoners, we only get 4 measly jacking points. Jack one corner and cool, you still can't get that stupid shield off. Like where can you even put a jack stand?

You should have coated the new o ring With a little oil before you reinstall. I have two cars with these 3.6 engines and they both use oil. Just a bad design in my opinion. Should have used a 3.8 in these cars instead.
