Thanks for this video! I was mostly prepared for this project having done belts on other cars. But thanks for the warning about the adjustment bolt being frozen and risking breaking it. That same bolt on mine was pretty frozen up so I took my time getting it free. Ended having to heat it with a torch to get it turning and of course apply lots of penetrant. Got it free without breakage. Thanks!

Hey guys, I saw this video and I'm just wondering. Because getting my car towed is realy expensive. Is it possible to cut the A/C belt? and drive it to a place where I can fix the rest of the car?

Thank you I came to this only after it was too late after I broke not the tensioner bolt but the o-ring that it threads in to. Expensive lesson

For me I was luck all the bolts came undone so easily

You forgot to show which way the wheel is supposed to be I stalled

My wife’s forester 2005, the AC tensioner has stripped the nylon nut so it won’t tighten. Also the compressor runs all the time and blows hot air. Worked fine last summer now nothing. Also the clutches smoked last summer but still blew cold. Hoping I don’t need a compressor.
