Sorry I don't have a brand or place of purchase for this one! I purchased it on eBay and found it by searching for "stair climbing dolly".

I’ve seen stair climbing hand trucks for years, super cool! Great stuff! 😃👍

the way that the arms work in tandem with the main wheels is the smartest thing about this design IMO. keeps everything nice and tight and steady. they're just the right length that the main wheels are always at least somewhat engaged.

Conveyor belt style dollies are often seen in Japanese train stations. They use them to carry cases of beverages to the vending machines. If I had to use one in my house I think I would call a friend and buy pizza. Nice video. Thank you.

Finally an honest review that shows how extremely slow it truly is.

Keep in mind you can speed it up and slow it down. I'm getting up there in years, so I keep it fairly slow. ;)

Good vid. I too am comparison shopping between the 2 styles, the lifting wheel (the one you testing) vs. tank tread/conveyor. The conveyor type moves a lot smoother but needs to be slanted/tilted more (conveyor needs sit on at least 2 if not 3 edges of step) so it needs more space going up/down. And because of the tilt angle required the operator is always crouching down to grab the handle while backing up a stair, looks very back straining. The lifter wheel type takes one step at a time (lifter wheel needs to be in contact with just 1 edge of step) so its movements is more vertically up/down instead of gliding down. Not as smooth but doesn’t and shouldn’t be tilted as much so it can go into tighter or curved or longer (each step is long landing) stairs. Between the 2 I am buying this/lifter type because it’s just more versatile, and I will go slow/smoother and try to do less damages to stairs and whatever I’m hauling.

Somebody with handyman knowledge will take a snowblower gearbox, a cordless drill, and make their own pretty cheaply! By using common parts, it's an easy fix if it breaks.

We have one that that the raises and loweres the wheels. I’ve put full 55 gallon drums in the truck by myself with it . The trouble we have is is the battery has to be removed and kept on a tender or it gets ruined

Hi, great video, can you share the link? I couldn't find one under $1K with that capacity, Thanks.

the problem i find with every single one is they need to be angled so far back that 95% of stairs are to tight to navigate with them. great idea but horrible design

Would hate to see what happens when it malfunctions or stops in the middle of a climb. Still a pretty cool idea, but kind of slow.
@1D10CRACY11 ай бұрын
The way it's geared, if there is no power it will just stop and hold the weight, providing nothing breaks in the gear box. As far as speed, it's adjustable and can be set to uncomfortably fast.

I figured something was built into it for safety purposes,but still a hassle if it stops mid climb. Knowing it is a lot faster than shown makes it definitely more attractive. Thanks for the follow up.👍⚡️

Do you think it would damage wood stairs???????? Thinking about getting one
@1D10CRACY9 ай бұрын
I think it's a possibility. The steps in the video didn't show any damage, but they are just unfinished, rough cut boards.

Max weight?
@1D10CRACY9 ай бұрын
It depends on the brands and models that you buy. I think the one in the video is rated for 800+lbs, but I don't know the brand or model as I'm not selling anything, just showing how these work.
