Hey mate is it straight thru exhaust or mufflers? I have a 3 inch stainless exhaust and stainless snorkel and mine doesn't sound this good

Hey Jai, two mufflers only - we’ve done some further mods since this video so the turbo whistle is gone but we gained another 150hp or so. You can have a listen hear kzbin.info/www/bejne/jYfdimSBrrB-ZrM

Hang on, I thought BYD was known for its weird ice-cream van sounds at low speeds? Lol - at least it’s quiet to begin with, although like you said it’s all relative. Around these parts, some Landcruiser/Hilux drivers like to drive around town with their loud gear shifts/turbo whine, which would probably break that decibel meter!!

an fte is $15k just for the motor, $10k to build motor, $5k in labour for conversion
