Man I've been following you for some time now and absolutely love your car! I'm in the process of building a 1J Sportcross with r154. Been meaning to ask you if you don't mind, what is your wheel and tire specs ? Was originally wanting to do 17x9 +22 but you make the 18s look perfect! Lastly, who makes that front bumper ? Dude that’s awesome!! I really appreciate all the kind words… I’m actually on the way to the shop to unbox the brand new 2J bottom end and just got the fully built 1J head back from the machine shop! The wheels are actually 17 x 9.5 + 38, I since got a new set thats 17 x 9.5 + 40, but either way it takes some modification to not rub on the spindle connecting the hub to the upper control arm. The tires are 255/40 square, and as for the front bumper it’s a vertex!

Are the modifications to make this wheel spec fit, difficult ? What does it entail ? Sorry for all the questions man, I know how much people hate repeating all this stuff, especially "what are you wheel specs" but I really do appreciate it and thank you for the prompt reply!

The only time it gets annoying is when people don’t ask nicely… so in terms of fitting the wheel and tire combo it takes a good amount of fender rolling and precision paired with shaving the spindle down some. @@itsmedeka Don’t do it. 18”wheels make it very hard to put the power down effectively. I’m selling my 18s and going with 17s because of it.

@@HenryJZX thanks i have my 1j coming in but i wont be installing it in my vehicle for like 6-8months from now. i need to gather all the important stuff first before install. the power goals i have is 400-450 and if i can do that like you did with yours ill be fine with that. my walbro 255 should be fine with that because i think they start to choke out at around 500whp

i'm JGott id say your safe with a 255, I have aem 320 that works well. Cars getting bc 264 and a boost lab 6262 with a t51r mod and then I’ll be done with it. One more tuning session. Should make round 5-550

Chris.6MT turbo manifold is driftmotion, transmission is an r154, and the ecu is the dezod aem v2!

@@HenryJZX that is super awesome! Also kind of what I was hoping to hear lmao. So I'm really curious about the throttle sensitivity. If you happen to have ETCS-i, do the revs hang between shifts or have any response delay from when pressing the gas? The regular GE manual IS I drove had some rev hang and was wondering if the swap alleviated this or if it could be tuned out given the standalone

Chris.6MT so, I have a jzx100 1jzvvti... the jzx100 have straight cable driven throttle body. The oem 2j is half cable half drive by wire, that’s how the traction control is factored in. With the 1j, throttle response is immediate and there is no rev hang. Every flaw the car had stock was fixed with the swap, it’s an all around better car.

Hey man! This was pretty much stock 1jzvvti, with a driftmotion 6262 single turbo kit on it, 880cc DW injectors and an r154. Cars currently getting a full rebuild and I’ll be releasing videos on the process and build breakdown by the end of august… going to be tenfold better than this setup was!

John Hardin hmmm never really noticed that, clutch wasn’t slipping under load so it was definitely before the bite point. He tunes some real reputable GTR’s and supras. Car has held up on his tune with no issues for over a year now... with a recent trip from buffalo to west palm beach Florida and back in 4 days. So a year + of HARD miles
