Trying figure out how to make this go down. I figured out the up without all of the update pistons. Repeater clock to each stack (3) one has no delay, then 2 then 4. How to configure to go down? Can you help?

you need some very specific block event delays that are inserted into the queue after the pistons are first fired. I'll send you the world download.

as far as my understanding goes, you need to use firing pistons to update the pistons to create enough micro delay.

the 3 phases must run on an exact 9gt clock with each being 3 ticks apart. the sone walls update from top to bottom， the top part moves away first without obstructing in the ascending cycle. you will need the complex updating pistons for the other direction， or figure out a way to transmit the signal using some sort of instant wiring that updates from bottom to top instead。 Idk if some sort of rail-based instant wire will do， and update bi-directional. anyway, it is rather hard.

wall-based instant wires are rather intuitive and update from source to end（top to bottom and this direction only， unfortunately） .rail-based ones update with inverted order， from end to source. some types can receive inputs from any point and send updates based on stack rules. the design uses 3 phases per driver column running on 8gt cycles minimum（actually 9gt）.with the latest copper lamp 3gt signals are easier to get than ever. I wonder if we can use 2 6gt driver columns instead.
