The last contraption didn't work cause the item needs to be aligned right against the slime block, otherwise the first 4 fencegates won't receive any item. A improved version which achieves an efficiency of 10 items/11gt is shown in the newest video.

messed around with your fencegate setup and you actually found what i needed... with this trick we can seperate the stacks from the single entity allowing for much simpler stackable systems since we can send all leftovers directly into the next system :) good stuff

Many uses possible. I am making a super powerful super smelter using this tech. Separate each stack makes it so much more precise and simple. You can activate only the slices that receive a stack. Send shulker boxes through fire to get the items out as quick as possible. Than separate the stacks. Send those stacks to the furnaces. Lock every hopper until the furnaces are empty and collect your items. You can store hundreds of shulker box and dispense them one at the time to make sure you don’t over lag the server. And within hours you get millions of smelted items.

To allow machines to keep up, like crafting machines. You can set up nine stacks to be sent to you (like piston recipes), and not have to worry about your inventory getting clogged.
