My man went sand dune crawling with running boards on what a beastly vehicle

Haha thanks! Built that truck back in 2006 and haven't touched it sense. Its held up great and I love taking it to the dunes.

What’s up with the re-arranger?
@PostalRedneck4 жыл бұрын
Quite a bit. He welded a huge racing wing on it and painted the hood like an American flag. You can follow him and his builds on Instagram if you would like to keep up to date. I keep telling him he needs to start a youtube haha. Perhaps ill do an update video on it. instagram.com/thepeondream/

I love the videos! I’m tossing around the idea of doing a solid axle swap on either a 98 2500 suburban or a Tahoe, I like the trans and rear end out of a 2500 burb but dig the look of the Tahoe for sure. Is the SAS pretty solid for sand off-roading? I mostly do sand or mud and love the dunes in silver lake and just want a budget toy to enjoy
@PostalRedneck3 жыл бұрын
I did my swap as the IFS sucks when it comes to ramping. It just bottoms out all the time. I built my SAS using a Dana 44 HP out of a 68 Ford. They can be solid if you do leaf spring front but I went with coil for the ride. I have more than I care to admit into this build but it has held up to the test of time. Built this thing 15 years ago.

did you convert your ac compressor to on board air.. any videos on that ??
@PostalRedneck4 жыл бұрын
I did convert my A/C compressor to onboard air. I sadly do not have a video on it or the set up. I need to make a video of that whole truck. Check out this video kzbin.info/www/bejne/sF7can-fgZKGra8 at about the minute mark I do show some of the back but dont go over the system all that well. If you have any questions let me know.

yeah love the videos.. I got 97 tahoe also that I have been doing alot of stuff like yours ... I have been debating on converting the ac system over to air and doing electric air pumps.. we all know the ac system always was terrible in the tahoe ..

Do you ever see 'Dialed' out there in his Ranger? *He's here on KZbin as well.
@PostalRedneck4 жыл бұрын
Im sure I have. The people at silver lake are great. There are quite a few Ranger builds flying around in the dunes and the best part is everyone of them is built different so its always fun to see them zipping around.

@@PostalRedneck - It's a truck that's won the Mint 400 in it's class. The biggest launches there are probably going to be by him. He has a Raptor front clip not the factory look, it's all full glass besides the cab.

@@kdigiacomo Check out his video and see if he is in it. kzbin.info/www/bejne/kH6xfWaDh7yhrZo. Prerunner Invasion is a great time of the year to check out all the builds as well as long travel roundup.
