We're leaving for Venice Tuesday then doing a Greece cruise, taking a few Bone Voyage travel rods and spinning and larger baitcasting reels with a small lure assortment. Hoping to add a few pics to the scrapbook. This looks like a similar drill to fishing Palm Beach inlet in Florida.

Hi I would say a little before daybreak and a little after sunset... as for lures long minnow style. .. catch em up...

well, I have not fished there myself but from videos, it is very similar ... so i would say minnow-style lures on a light to medium rod with a 4-5000 reel should cover you... if something big hits just let it run trying to tier him out... good luck buddy...

Nice catches man! Judging from the tunes, I'd guess you may have lived in Ontario? I'm half Canadian Myself! I am just going to start fishing here in Greece. Any suggestions to a proper set up for fishing from the shore/rocks? I've been trying to watch videos to get all the info but everyone is showing something different. One site will say I need a 10-12 ft rod with a 6000-8000 reel and another will say something much smaller. Are you using a bottom rig? i didn't see any weight...

I am going Crete in a few weeks near agios nikolaos. I brought and telescopic rod and spooled it with 10ib mono. Should this be alright as I’m only using 7g lures. And are most of the Fish dangerous to touch cus I wanted to get a pair of lip grips but I don’t think I have enough time so will a rag and gloves be alright. Thank you🎣🎣

enjoy the island, I don't think you will run into any dangerous fish so a rag towel should be fine...

Hey, thanks for watching...i dont know the area so cant help you there...i would say bring a mideum rod, you can fish for most of the fish around...from squid, cuttlefish, to barracuda or snappers... have fun...

UL rod will make it a lot more fun...having said that... I use a medium action with 20lb braid & depending on what I'm hoping for.. I use wire or 20-30lb fluoro... give me a call if you come I will be guiding fishing trips....

hey there... Sami is a good place to fish but like any other place sometimes its a morning bite sometimes its at night...as for live bait sometimes you want the bail open sometimes closed... as for drag again depends if the area you are fishing does not have points where your line can get caught & cut then you could keep your drag looser and let the fish run when it wants... then again if there is a chance your line can get cut then lock your drag & hope for the best... so you see your ????s are very vague... I hope this helps you out a little... but I cant teach you to fish online lol... if you want to book a guided fishing outing for one on one lessons send me a message... good luck...

pays123 it doesn’t hurt the fish. Obviously you don’t know anything about fishing. Fishing on rocks it is very difficult to get down to the water to release the lure/hook. If you mean you don’t like what he is using to bring it out that is one of the only ways to bring it out. It doesn’t hurt the fish at all.
