sree swamiji, I've got a doubt here. in order to achieve success in this meditation, as adviced by you sex should be stopped. my question is, how far it is applicable to those who are married? is this meditation not for common people? is this only for yogi's?

yes naturally it goes down, even tough you dont make love, or masturbate. And it starts to become heavy. I am trying exercises and meditate since 3 years, but still it is hard to lift that energy up. I don't know why, sometimes it happens sometimes not?... Thank you for the speech...

@ltggnore It is also a prerequisite that we reduce our needs to what is bare minimum, & totally cut out our wants,. But who wants to do that? we don't want to give up our cushy homes, the humongous cars, the massive tvs, the grills, the steaks, the drinks, treadmills, state of the art computers & c-games, designer clothes,...& the list goes on & on. Oh boy, isn't that what will reduce our dependence on oil, & lower the pollution levels in the world too?

BTW, just a reality check, this is a discourse on Kundalini Yoga, not a preview of the next Apple gadget or the next Sony computer game to be launched on christmas, that every one wants to know how to make advance resevations so that they can stand in line overnight outside a best buy (a yoga school in this case). I find almost all the responses very childish & amusing. Not every one can have it, & not every 1 shud have it, it is more powerful than the nuclear bomb.

Everyone is not supposed to have enlightenment. It is absurdly wasteful of a life to spent it on something you are not supposed to do. A yogi does yog, a soldier goes to war and a maid cooks. And you lady are supposed to rock it with your husband.
