1st Cruise, from Great to HORRIBLE.

We recently took our first real vacation! We went on Royal Caribbean Harmony of the Seas. What started out great, ended up with pure sickness! My only advice, don't book during hurricane season!

Greetings, after viewing your vlog, and seeing how you got around on the boat, made it to your mustard station, waiting till the 6 minute mark in your video before you mentioned the name of the boat, I think you did not do enough research on how to be a first time cruiser. There are tons of vlogs on KZbin that have tips, tricks and hacks that would have helped you to navigate some of the issues you encountered on your cruise. You are on a cruise vacation, you are not in Heaven. There are things that will occur that RCL or any other cruise line can not control. I appreciate your opinion. And of course, they say opinions are like mothers...everybody has one. So now you have mine. 💩💩💩

I don't know about all that. As a guy that has now cruised twice and done a ton of research I know you don't know until you experience it. Mrs_Tink I will say I'm sure cruising isn't for everyone but my experience so far has been amazing. Not the best vacations ever but great vacations overall. I hope you all consider it again someday but understand if you don't. I did enjoy your video! Hope you both are feeling better!!!

I've been on about 5 RC cruises..thank god I haven't had any issues like y'all. But try and give them another chance. With all the gambling done they are gonna offer a comp cruise to you.

I hate you've had a bad experience. I have been on 18 cruises. I know you mentioned a dislike for Carnival, but 14 of my cruises have been with Carnival and have been a blast. The first time I went I felt like I was going on a Walmart Cruise, but I ended up loving it better than Princess.

@@travelgrl1789 .. me too.. My first cruise was Carnival Radiance.. it was not the Walmart of cruises.. it was absolutely the opposite…on Mardi Gras in a few weeks..

Don't judge Carnival until you have tried it, just like you tried royal and this was your experience.

fair point. but i work in the county jail, the only people getting arrested come from carnival, never RC

Please " dont throw the baby out with the bath water". RC is wonderful and tops to correct customer service arena.

I normally cruise in April/May and only experienced rain once. Last year I went in June and thankfully we were ahead of the rain at each port from day to day. I’d say choose a different time of year to cruise bc June 1-Nov 30 IS OFFICIALLY HURRICANE 🌀 SEASON 🤷🏽‍♀️

Before taking anorher cruise remember this JASON (june, july, august, september, october, november) those are the months for hurricane season, when weather can ruin your cruise with cancellation of excursions and ports. Another thing, nothing is free on a cruise, there are items and services that are included in tour cruise fare and others that have an extra charge. 😎👍🏻

Don’t stop cruising.. it is just wonderful!! Sorry for your bad experience…I’m on the Carnival Mardi Gras in less than 30 days… I have NEVER ever had a single problem with Carnival…

@@mrs_tink yep!! Christmas 2023, I was on the Conquests..my ship and the Mardi Gras docked at the same time in the Bahamas. When I got off and saw the MArdi Gras up close and personal, I did not want to get back on my ship… such an awesome huge ship!!!! Absolutely can’t wait until Aug 11th..👍🏾

Don't stop cruising, try again with a shorter cruise, Dec-May, maybe a different line, budget ur casino $ 🙂. Good luck

I’m sad to see you guys had this poor cruise experience for such a special occasion. I would encourage you guys to check out Margaritaville that sails out of Tampa. Smaller ship, more intimate experience, and the food is super good! We’re vlogging our experience on our channel. Just got back last week so more videos coming. Hang in there you two! Hey Tink! Been on 2 carnival cruises and had a blast on both but the second one I did get sick on the last day and on my first we hit 10 to 20 foot swells. Still had a blast and will go back. I feel like it’s just an easier way to travel. But to each their own. I tag you TikTok so you can see the quick video I made.

Honestly, Carnival would've never canceled the excursions. We've done the ATVs many times in storms. Go with us.

I’m sorry you have had such a bad experience. We have been on 13 cruises and only one bad time on princess (which we will not go back on a princess again). The rest have been on carnival which we love and NCL which is even better. I can’t believe the price you paid. We come from Canada and we don’t pay that. Although that ship is way bigger with lots more to do than carnival, we just had the best time with carnival. Everyone was so nice. I hate you had a bad experience towards the end. Try carnival next time out of new Orleans.

I got food poisoning on my first cruise as well. Carnival too. Been on 2 more after that on royal with no problem

someone on this cruise said how carnival how so much better food, guess it all just comes down to the crew cooking it

@@mrs_tink they definitely have better food. But everyone that got shrimp cocktail on the second day got food poisoning. It was at least 60 of us and carnival did nothing

Sorry it was missed, but they sometimes they don’t get the information about it due to weather, which no one can control. Weather sucks sometimes. Gosh getting sick sucks, but that’s not rc’s fault but they should have seen you two for being sick. Period. Hope you both feel better soon! Try in march or April next time, weather is better and tends to be less kids.
