Agreed. I'll be hunting a 992 as soon as used C2 MTs start to come around. Nick, I know there's a non-lemon 911 out there for you...just have to keep looking. BTW, the brakes on my '18 C2 were fade free at Circuit of the Americas (COTA) this past weekend, with a brake system flush/fluid upgrade (stock pads). Car made me feel like a hero (my first Porshe). Tons of P cars, and other incredible exotics, from across the country there. Don't mind Pedro...he probably drives a Hyundai, with a side of green envy... ;) This is P. What makes that 992 stand out are the aluminium side window surrounds. It transforms the look of the car and really emphasises the 911 shape from the side. Wonderful.

i am debating purchasing a new 991.2 2018 carrera s that is on a dealers lot... however i am intrigued by your comment that the cabin is quieter on the 992... is it appreciably quieter? would tires have accounted for some of the difference? as much as i love the 911s i have found the cabin noise a little high only on long distance drives, which is something i would like to keep to a minimum, for a porsche anyway

Save your money and get a 991.2 they're unbelievable. Got a 2017 Carerra pretty much fully loaded, porsche sport exhaust, sports chrono package, etc. Has 5,800 miles on it. CPO car with 4 years of warranty left. Original msrp was $114,500. Picked it up for $84,500.

@@joeblow502 sounds like a no brainer! The upgrade from the 991.1 to the 991.2 was actually worth it because of the hp/torque gains, interior redesign and all the kinks of the car being worked out. With the 992 you're just getting a rear end redesign and new interior. Not really worth the extra $20k-$30k.

Hi Joe and Justin, thanks both of you for contributing to this community, BIG THANKS. Joe, If you would like to have a more comfortable 911 experience there is only ONE, the 911 TURBO. It is a huge difference between the Turbo and all the rest in the 911 range. Not sure about the prices where you live but in Sweden, it's not much more money to add for a 991.1 Turbo. When it comes to the 992, it is less noise, no questions about it but still it is a long way left to reach the 911 Turbo. Thanks for watching and subscribing​.

Lovin your videos. It’s very nice to see this comparison. I have had 997.1, 997.2 gt3RS and now GT4. The GT4 drive so perfectly with great balance but though It lacks the dramatic of the 911. Remember one thing, the 992 Carrera S manual, is 10 kg lighter (Kerb weight) than​ a 997.1 Carrera. YES, the 992 has a larger footprint but drives like a small sports car.

987 Cayman is better driving car. I had 987 boxster and loved it so much balance. The only way I sold it bcz I couldn't take soft top anymore. If it was Cayman I would never sell it. Now end up getting 997 c2. Been almost 2 years. Loving it every moment

yah, that would be a super car for sure. right now, I am owning 981 cayman s and love this MR chassis, but in near future, I'm thinking that depending on my budget, planning to move onto the new 992 s, because I found that the new 992's engine locaiton has been relocated to be relatively similar to MR style.

Definitely the new generation of vehicles must satisfies requirements for the new era ! To me the 992 looks like baby Panamera but , It will be interesting to see the 992 T manual with HI-Flo exhaust!. Wow, what a great comparison video, your English language is very articulate, I’ve just bought one of the last 991 gts cars manual, loving it, saw the 992 at Geneva, I love the exterior but can’t get over the interior and that shelf lip around the dash, just doesn’t look sporty, guess it will grow on me, anyway, I would wait for a gts version or a gt3 if I’m lucky enough to get one, first time I’ve watched, I’ve subscribed and shared !

I am looking in to a 991.2 carrera manual rwd. I have worked it down to a S rwd and gts rwd. What would you choose, the better response of the S engine or the wider rear track of the GTS. Your opinion matters greatly to me. Thank you.

Be patient. There will lots of them hitting dealers soon, specially '17s. I've on board with Alcantara delete, my GTS is all leather...with carbon sports buckets

Thanks Curtis for helping me to reply. GTS VS S... I would make sure it has rear axel steering. The GTS will hold better in value. Low price S or stick with a GTS.

PDCC w/ rws and the 10 mm pasm..and clutch..I'm the proudest man on earth..lol..but I must wait 7 more days.not bad after 40 years..your channel encouraged me to reach for my dreams..Thank you

Another class review, with honest comparisons. Love the return of those classic Porsche lines on front fenders. Jury is still out on rear styling cues, for me. Looking forward to your "summer tires" feature.

You should have get the Sport Design package of the 992. The standard's license plate sits too low it made the back of the car look fat.

Is it usual practice to have two tire/wheel sets (summer and winter), OR do most people have a single set of wheels and actually unmount and remount complete tire sets twice a year in your area?

Normalt we have two sets, one with winter tires on and one with summer.
