This is simple. Regidrago Vstar! During your game load up a single Teal Mask Ogerpon Ex with Grass energy and at least 1 Fire energy. Your opponent knocks out your Regidrago Vstar and you put the Ogerpon into the active. Your turn starts by using Ogerpon to potentially attach 2 additional energy than it already has on it from throughout the game. Then, you play Thorton to make it a Regidrago V. Immediately evolve it into Regidrago Vstar since the Ogerpon has been in play for more than one turn. During the game you've already sent the Raging Bolt to the discard pile. Now you can swing with the Regidrago Vstar that has all the accumulated Grass energy of the Ogerpon throughout the game and the one Fire energy and can start swinging for huge damage. My deck currently runs 9 Grass and 3 Fire. If you subtract the 2 Grass and 1 Fire from the knocked out Regi, that leaves you with 7 Grass and 2 Fire that you could potentially have attached for 270 damage!

I'm liking the Iron Boulder in a Gardy deck. Nice little single prizer with potential to knock out early on and save your Gardy. OK does required a bit of work to get the hands to match but still could be useful.

There is an Orbettle which can move energies from the opponent active pokemon to other pokemons when evolving. Could synergize quite well with this raging bolt and would also grant him sime immunity if the active opponent can't attack

The Raging Bolt also ko's a Scream Tail or a Driftloon with a bravery charm attached.

@@munigarg3771 99% of the time when the charm is attached to a drifloon or scream tail it is already in the active and attacking. Garde players usually dont preplace attackers with a bravery charm to vacuum away. If its in the active and has swung, chances are it has barely any hp left to begin with

thinking of energy accelerators we have in the format rn that Raging Bolt can use... i think Baxcalibur + Raging Bolt can work well? you use Sada + attach for turn to get the Lightning+Fighting on, and then Baxcalibur to attach as many Water from your hand as needed to do the snipe KO.

Too much setup, the card is great but has 2 purposes in a Raging Bolt ex deck: Killing low hp walls (mimikyu, drifloom) and sniping support (kirlia, drakloak, frigibax). You could also use it as a attacker in ancient box, but that's a different strategy.

Raging bolt seems kinda decent for bench sniping, i just don't know if it's better than flutter mane for attacking and stalling or the necessary space in a deck for 4 energy switches. The 3 retreat cost is also a lot for a tech. On the other hand, Iron Boulder is an iron blunder.

Uhhhhhh, if u didnt notice. Both suck really hard. If u are to use a bench snipe with Regidrago, u should be looking for Kyurem instead. Sure discarding energy is kinda uhhhh, but its way better than habing to accelaratw 4 energies into a pokemon to do some mediocre damafe

These are terrible cards, why would you even consider this in regidrsgo when they broken kyurem is still in format 110 damage to 3 targets.

Because with kyurem you have to discard all your energy with its attack. This is good to use beforehand to setup a boardwipe for kyurem's attack or to get rid of something like a bibarrel or low hp 2 prizer

You guys just aren't thinking enough. Raging Bolt is a mimikyu killer and a little HP bench sniper, which fixes a couple matches, including Gardevoir.

You could power it up with how many energies you need, we have ways for that, but in a bolt deck, only 3 energies kills anything with 90 or less hp. You can take out kirlias and drakloaks and frigibaxs on the bench, plus being able to stand against ancient box and festival, also ancients could use this card, so many uses a good player (not you) can find.

@@GoOKuSj33 the palkia version of bolt fixes those matchups, but it's outclassed by the orgepon version in this meta. If you are making space for baby bolt and energy switches, which has an insane 3 retreat cost (at least with 4 you could use a heavy baton), you're going to lose consistency. However, Flutter mane hits 90 and spreads 2 dmg for 3 colorless energies, only 1 retreat, and has an annoying ability. Baby Shocks exists, too. It's way too many resources to use to on a tech. Might as well just play a different deck, at that point.
