I don't understand the hate that their last album, "Obsidian", got. It grew on me after a few listens. It doesn't top "Alien" yet but its damn good experimental metalcore in a genre that is getting a bit stale! Love this new direction they are going, yet again, pushing the envelope! Editing to say they are INCREDIBLE live in concert! Especially in a smaller venue!!

Northlane have paved way for so many new within-genre trends, and now they're just becoming their own genre. Nobody can touch them. ❤ Those in your stream chat saying "Thornhill 2.0" have no clue. Northlane were around well before Thornhill, and secondly, this sounds nothing like Thornhill's generic and boring Muse-wannabe sound they have going atm.

You had it right until you threw shade on thornhill. Their music is sexy af is the word I describe. I love when bands are experimental and not trying to be boxed into a previous album or sound. Everyone on earth is growing as each year passes so it’s only fitting peoples music changes. Haters gon hate tho

@dahc0023 Lol, its okay to disagree mate, it makes neither you nor I more or less correct than one another. But, I will argue that Thornhill are boring in their newest song (I didn't mind their last album) because what they produced is literally nothing new, and so many bands have tried to sound like Muse. Chalking up my opinion to "haters gon' hate tho" is just you having trouble accepting that people have negative opinions about a band you like, that's life kiddo.

@@gSWG3R 1. I’ll agree viper room is their most underwhelming song but for what heroine was, blending elements of dark pool and trying to make their own sound is what people appreciate. 2. Hating to me isn’t when people have different music opinions. It’s when people just call anything generic as an insult. New Thornhill and Northlane are anything but generic, they’re trying to push boundaries in the scene, if anything both bands first albums are “generic” metal core done great

That "acidhxc" guy in your chat has it backwards... Thornhill is the one who tried to follow in Northlane's footsteps, and, quite frankly, failed.
