Gorgeous bird, really adorable snuggler! Wish all were as responsible as you two seem to be about training and recognizing committment. Shame on people who sell without vetting potential owners. Your video, I just notice is 2 years ago, so still a baby, (Always a toddler!) I'm 68 and this is how I will have to enjoy such a pet. I have bunch of feathers from years ago, a friend who used to walk about town with beautiful Green Wing on his shoulder. Remember him accompanying us to a July 4th Pancake breakfast in our town square (or more likely, we were accompanying him!) Well Being All~

It sure is! Maui takes up a lot of our time. He’s currently chilling out sitting on mummy humans lap while we’re watching TV!

Hi! As for the toys, i am personally angainst using rope toys for parrots because of the risks (ingestion, stuck legs, potential death). Maybe you could try more of natural perches and toys, for example sisal rope hanging perches, differnt hardness of wooden toys etc. There are plenty of toys you can look into. I love Planet pleasures, but unfortunatelly they are no longer avalible in my country so i started making toys myslef. I am using balsa wood, which is really soft wood oftenly used in modeling (airplanes and that stuff) and cork. These are the materials i am using for my two lovebirds, but i have seen some big guys like cockatoos and macaws enjoying destroyind these type of toys. In my opinion the best toy is the toy, which you will find completly destroyed on the bottom of the cage! I hope i managed to give you some inspiration on this topic. Hi, we always cut the ends of our rope toys. He has a rope perch which we have also trimmed the ends on. Maui has a number of different wood toys which he enjoys taking apart over time. I don't think balsa would work as it is too soft. It would only last a few minutes, if that. You're right in saying the best toy is one that ends up being destroyed. The ones that they always go back too. We have a few like that. This seesaw one has also been greta. It's been a really good cage. We use it all the time. It is fairly large so measure your car before ordering! We have an Audi A6 estate, which it fits in fine.

Hi Tito, thanks for subscribing. Maui hatched on 17th May. He came home to us on the 31st August. He was fully weaned before, so I would say just over 3 months. Our breeder weaned him and started basic training with him.
