Book of eclipse has been a mainstay in my list for the past month. It won me multiple matches including a feature match in Indy. It's the best breaker to draw going 1st and going 2nd it has a lot of applications. Main dark ruler might look unconventional rn but once Fiendsmith comes it'll be a must in branded imo. pak just ahead of the curve

Nightfall talked about siding in book of eclipse because it helps to dodge target effs. I understand that drnm is very strong but maybe it should be worth testing eclipse in main and drnm in side instead of droplet

Plenty of people have been playing 2. Kitt is becoming more standard as is 2 quem. You don’t want too many ns and you want more variety in the cards you can draw. Always worth testing

Can someone explain what he meant on the Guardian Chimera explanation? I'm not following what he meant by "when you puppet them, red, draw phase". It was unclear to me.

Usually when people get puppet locked they will set some back row. If you use branded in red during your drawphase to then get chimera you will destroy two back row while you have player priority, potentially while their cards don't have viable targets or activation windows. If you have lost up also, they can't even respond to their cards being destroyed.

I’m assuming because you have to discard a card to activate it which is suboptimal going second. As he stated with droplet “if you are setting droplet turn 1 you already lost” and this could be applied to super poly too (i think). Additionally, the ED is super tight already and I think having the option to fuse your opponents monsters with a contact fuse of lenatus or even just normal/special summon albaz is enough honestly

This deck prioritizes Gimmick lock over Mirrorjade, so Ad Libitum isn't as important for multiple trigger effects. It's very difficult to run a Branded deck under 50 cards, the general amount is 50+

Basically Alba Lenatus has an alternate summoning method where you can send a "Fallen of Albaz" and any number of Dragon monsters on either field to the GY in order to summon it (this is the contact fuse he was talking about) Since Albion the Shrouded treats itself as Fallen of Albaz while face-up on the field, you can use it to fuse with your opponents dragons.

Alba is a contact fuse. You just send the fusion materials from the field to the grave including one Albaz, which Albion is while on the field.

Really sad that puppet lock is all that branded is good for these days. Such an amazing archetype with so many cool cards and ways to play it but i guess this is what you have to do in order to stay at the top. No hate against PAK btw he's undoubtedly a skilled player, a cheap floodgate alone won't make you win a tournament.
