At first, I was like, "what is this?! No ash?! No imperm?! No handtraps?!" And then after rewatching a few more times, it totally made so much sense. I've lost hard against Tears this past weekend with the usual Lab build, and I've been brainstorming what to use to counter Tears yet be flexible to play against other meta decks.

At first glance , I thought this build was terrible. But after testing for myself, it is strong against tear, purrely, unchained, dragon link, and so many other decks.

why does it not trigger? it is sent by the effect of the trap weighbridge.

Because it is not sent by the effect of Weighbridge. Weighbridge is worded in a way that the player sends the monsters to the graveyard, hence no a card effect. Similar examples would be Evenly matched or Daruma Karma Cannon. All these 3 cards are worded in a way that bypasses cards that are unaffected by card effects.

depends on the matchup, always the traps that are the worst, like lets say exosister there is no reason for you to have an Ice dragoons prison in your deck and such things
