I attend at Top Deck in Pennsylvania. Gage (Nyhmnim) works there. Poe came there last Sunday and I played him & got my ass whoop. Glad to see he won the YCS. Good guy.

Understanding a meta, realizing it's weaknesses, (breaking it using the most imbalanced cards) is the job of a professional player. Aslong as the others don't realize the weaknesses of their own decks, and are either oblivious to meta threats(/definers) or don't respect them by preparing a side deck to balance things out, he fully deserves his success, although just topping a tourney doesn't mean all that much since no matter how professional it gets, there is still luck involved. That is why even if your average player brings this deck to a tourney (ignoring the fact the competition might already have adapted to this strategy) they might fail, because they simply are not proficient enough or it just turns out his opponents had more luck this time around or he had less luck than this guy had. It pretty hard to tell.

Striker's legacy looks more like the warriors, dominated for years, took a step back for some time due to injuries/the banlist and then after getting their players/cards back got back to the top Even the timeline kinda adds up, 2019/20 was the first season where the warriors injuries started, and engage got banned in january 2020, and the 2021 offseason is when the warriors brought in good role players and got back to the top, when engage went to 1

Sky strikers is one of those decks that I respect for doing well in tournaments but also damn man I hate this deck with a passion. The deck is so insane because it revolves around spells and like 3 monsters. Think of all the sky striker spells that are just really good. Engage, widow anchor, after burner, hornet drones, area zero and shark cannon are all super good on their own but with the oppression that is mystic mine it just makes things that much worse.
