Slow start to the 2022 season as far as uploading videos. I've been busy having adventures instead of editing the events...trying to do better from this point forward. It's been a great fishing season so far...especially stripers! Thanks for coming along!

Enjoy watching your videos! You do a great job. Question for ya. I have a 18ft bowrider with a 115 outboard. I use it in the lakes. Want to experience the salt as I love the saltwater more. Just 90 minutes away otherwise I would have bought something better for salt. Anyway, I want to explore upper Narragansett bay. What knot winds become concerning? 10 knots? Is wind direction and tide direction a concern even in the bay? Thanks for your time. Keep up the videos.

Yes, wind is a concern for sure even in the bay. 90% of the time the wind will pick up from the SW in the summer. If the tide is outgoing the waves will lift up and heading south will be an issue. If you go early in the morning there is usually not much wind. Let me know when you go and I'll meet you out there! Glad you enjoy the videos!

So I was thinking of a marina in Warwick ri to launch. Tomorrow low tide is around 9am. And sw winds of around 8knots. So the morning to mid afternoon should be pretty smooth correct?

Boat looks great, did you redo the interior finish? Beautiful area for boating. Don't get too down on RI for not putting in the mooring buoys and dock at the sandbar in the harbor. Putting that sort of thing in attracts the public and the public will invariably destroy beautiful natural areas. Instead, be thankful the area is as pristine as it is. People who love and appreciate the area will come with or without the moorings and those people will take better care of it than the "public".

Very good point! I appreciate the insight. Yes, I painted the interior with white enamel. I thought it would hold up well with the beating I give the poor old salt but it doesn't seem much better than any old above-water paint.
