I am from Morocco, but my husband is Kashmiri, I went to Kashmir multiple times and this was my favorite thing to eat, after coming back to America I was craving it during my pregnancy, your Recipe is amazing, it worked and tasted so good!! Can’t thank you enough

sabira qadir dont uae any paper, they will come out good in she allah. Something butter paper get sticky so no need .

Tasty Bitz, I cannot thank you enough for the wonderful recipe of Chochwor. Believe me it was super easy to make and to remember. I must say it turned better than the one we get from kandur. Thanks for making me feel at home. This is one thing Kashmiri miss outside. Much much love and prayers. Stay blessed! Just wanted to ask can we brush baking tray or/and butter paper with butter as the butter paper got stuck to my chochwor.

Looks fantastic! You use a bagel recipe. Qandur doesn't make it like that. I remember as a young girl going to get choiwur from qandur. So tasty, InshaAllah will try your recipe

Thanks for calling the seeds correctly as Sesame seeds. There is another reputed channel that has made video on " chochwor" but has Wrongly called sesame seeds as poppy seeds. Thank you

gows shah you can substitute baking soda for yeast by adding an acid in baking soda like (lemon or butter milk )but result will not come same as expected.give it a try

Thank you so much dear for taking your time and interest...you go to any departmental store and ask them you need yeast...its easily available ...there is no Kashmiri name to it ..but u will get it very easily

Your recipe is amazing. I tried it once and it turned out very well. The next time however there was a glitch. So wanted to ask you which yeast you use. It is the yeast granules naa..do u simply mix those in flour or do u ist immerse it in water as mentioned on most active yeast granules package box.

Thank you dear for your love. I use instant active yeast. There is no need to immerse it in water before as it's already active. Just use Luke warm water while kneeding the dough.

Zia Zia You can brush it with milk , ghee can make upper part of it hard while baking but still you can try it and see the result .you can add ghee while kneading dough for that rich flavour .

Madam. Jab main baking temperature 220C rakhti hu time 15 minute main Jalne lagte hai kya karu guide me apki late kai bar dekhi hain nice video❤👌

ANUPAMA PANDITA you have to bake on convection mode and make sure you you don’t preheated for long. Send me the pic of your oven on my insta. Tasty Bitz YT I will check and reply

Saima Sheikh (half tea spoon of baking soda , half teaspoon of lemon water) .All ways remember one thing change of any ingredient can change taste , texture of this bread . But still you can try .

As far as I know, our kandur would not boil tailvour in water and also he would not use eggs. Since i am vegan, i wonder what we could use for that glossy crispy finish on the top side.

Deepak Razdan yes Dear, Because its home cooking, so innovation leads to success. its my own addition, so that crust will crispy and soft from inside. For glossy crispy finish you can give soya milk/honey or soya milk/oil wash on them .😊

Hi! I trust you are well. When I make chochvor, the till falls off easily after baking. I tried pressing it a little but chochvor came out a little flat. Can you please tell me how to fix it? Thank you

Allhumdullah I am fine , that’s coz of boiling chochwor some till will come out as it’s precooked and it will not hold lot of it ,but when u apply egg wash it will not come out so much.

What do you mean by 1/2 tbsp? Is it equivalent to 1 teaspoon?

Nina m Salam , no dear 1/2 tablespoons is not 1 teaspoon. 1/2 tablespoons = 7.5 ml and 1 teaspoon =5 ml 😊

Manish Dhar I am not sure while you will get this result or not if you will bake them in cooker coz it’s texture is different then any other bread , I am working on it in she allah will try to upload video once I will get best results without oven .

MARYAM TARIQ yes ,you can use wheat flour but result will not come out that good ,as Maida contains lot of Gluten which give bread elasticity, stretch,and chew ❣️.

Zahida Faroooq half teaspoon of baking soda ,half teaspoon of lemon juice mix well and use . Note: change of any ingredients in given recipe can change taste ,texture of dish .
