There's someone living near me who suffered a spinal injury and can't move his legs anymore, but has reasonable amount of movements in his arms, and as a result, is in an electric wheelchair. He used to be a busdriver. Sometimes I wonder if he would like it if he could try my simulation rig (not as extensive as the one in the video by far), since I could then work the pedals and he could to the steering, because he has talked about his former profession a couple of times. Sorry to hear about your dad, I can't begin to imagine what it's like to loose your eyesight like that, someone in my family got a donor cornea because the other option was going blind in that eye... It was wild to hear that person say from his hospital bed stuff like "WOW, I can now see that the door opening can handle a whole hospital bed!!" (after having been unable to see depth in their vision for years due to the damaged cornea being unable to focus, and this person's brain having basically shut down that eye from ever participating in converging, along with the eye being so out of focus in some situations the information from it was ignored in information processing, basically).

Pure enthusiasm and joy was almost chiseled onto her face for almost 90% of the route while she was doing all these exciting conversations with you about how this sim rig works and how realistic it is, and how much she would love to live a trucker´s life. Joke aside - I have a slight feeling she is not very much into your hobby.... ;D But your setup is really impressive, if you are a fan of driving why not doing this for life? I think one can get 3k or so when doing this job, while sitting all day. I never recommend becoming a pilot ever for flight sim fans because this is only a career possible for millionaire kids, but buying a trucking license is affordable. Even I thought about this some times because I like sitting and driving all day.
