If you can get hold of it, the British TV series "Spaced" for more Simon Pegg and Nick Frost. On the surface it's a sitcom about two people sharing a flat in London, but it has loads of SF and cult TV references all the way through. There's a mode on the DVD that lists all of the callbacks as they come up.

Don't worry, we have the legal term 'Alien' here too. My mum was classed as an alien when she was born in Germany on a British base to English parents.
@Penddraig711 ай бұрын
We know what alien means, it’s not a derogatory term and it’s not used for non white people who are illegal immigrants, it refers to anybody from another country, illegal alien is used for an illegal immigrant and again, it’s not derogatory, the word alien literally means belonging to a foreign country, it comes from the Latin alienus meaning belonging to another which comes from the Latin Alius meaning other which comes from the Welsh word All meaning other.

We didn't even do Halloween like you American's growing up. I was nervous as hell leaving my hotel dressed like that and even though me and my friend had a laugh with it we were totally mocked by a group who were drinking in the hotel bar. Once we were in the conversation though it was fantastic and had an absolute blast.

But it's not the same in America, is it?! In Stranger Things, two characters ask for a hotel room, and the woman on the counter asks "single or double", and they both shout "double!" and jump apart - but that would be one bed in the UK!!
