I do think it's worth telling the American reactors that this is comparable to a 300 in bowling before they watch 147 videos. Doesn't help that the camera angle snooker uses doesn't show off distances very well, but I feel like people don't appreciate how good this is.

If you two guys were to shut up and listen to the commentary, instead of interjecting with ignorant and asinine statements, we can all understand the gravity of the situation. You need an example? Victoria Cross assumed to be like your Purple heart. See how ignorant and idiotic you really are?

The most amazing part of this is it is not offensive today. 1970's comedy watched with 2020's sensitivies is usually pillared. I am not wanting to defend the racist remarks of the past, when a lot of it viewed from today is not considered appropriate. It was just of the thinking of the time.

My Grandpa was a drill sergeant in the korean war, and the stories he told were wild. The one I remember vividly is... A general comes to check on troop training, is up in a tower with troops in lines to the left and right. Down one line was a quad 50 cal turret. Sometimes troops can't handle the turret, it overwhelms their senses and they lock up. This happened and the turret starts walking towards the lined up troops and the general. My grandpa tried prying the troops hands off, slapping him, anything he could think of, eventually he had to beat him in the head with his "steel pot" (helmet) to knock him out so he could stop him, luckily no one was seriously hurt.

No!!! Not seeing them perform this? Just Audio? No, my boys made a performance that you should see. My beautiful British brothers! Their performance on stage was always legendary! Rip Lead singer Terry Jones. We love you. He was abducted at the age of 12 by a dirty paedophile ring. Always men!!! He was held for 4 days and abused by the dirty paedophile men! How he managed to overcome this and make as successful life??? God bless him. He did say in later life that he could not have got through life without antidepressants. Bless him! Also one of the black guys, forgive me his name I forget and is my shame. His Grandson was killed in London because of knife crime. God bless him. X My young men that gave me so much pleasure in my early teenage years. So sorry that you suffered so much loss.

Two CIF turn-in stories from my time in the Army. 1. As I was leaving the 82nd, they had two IBA's (body armor) on my record: one woodland and one ACU. Turns out during the pre-deployment activities I did two years prior I exchanged my woodland IBA for the ACU one...and the RFI people never updated my clothing record. God was watching over me cause the CIF manager said they were just going to ignore the "missing" woodland IBA because, in his words, "we no longer issue that pattern anymore or have it in stock, no one cares, move along." 2. When I transitioned out of Active Duty into the Reserves, I had to clear CIF as if I were actually getting out of the Army. Unfortunately, the CIF facility I had to go to was at Fort Drum...the other side of New York from where I was stationed. I intentionally did not bring my poncho liner (aka, the woobee) because of sentimental reasons and had every intention of paying whatever they charged me. What I didn't know was that before CIF could charge me I needed to have a commander's investigation with the findings of "he must pay for the loss." I was for hell not driving all the way across New York just to do a commander's investigation (which would take about two weeks on average) and then drive back to Fort Drum. I told CIF, "I'll be right back." I then went to nearest Army Surplus off-post, bought a poncho liner, and used that one for turn-in.

A granny in Australia says...god how I miss them! I was in my 20's when I saw these on our crappy old black & white TV. Nearly 80 now. I thought they were genius then, and now, even moreso. How they did it with a straight face I will never know! Have you guys watched "The Goodies"? Mental :)

I found out about my highschool reunion after the fact, I wasn't invited. What does that tell you? Well it depends if you're one of those D heads or not, which side you're on. Why was I not surprised either, some things never change. Oh, and yes I did complete my highschool education, not one of those dropouts that actually do get an invitation to the reunion and, technically, shouldn't even be there. And yes, I did become/stayed a complete loser. Oh my god, I'm sounding just like Corrigan.

Yeah, was gunna say, people kind of know about that cannibal case and the voluntary participant, um... meal. Unless it was a different German cannibal/killer. It almost goes without saying, not a stretch of the imagination. I just think of German sausages for some reason (previous episode, I know).

Isn't it wonderful how others can tell you what's what about your country and you, as a native, dont know what you are talking about! But, Brits, hold fast to your country or you might lose it! England, right or wrong, is one of the jewels of the world! England for the English!

The fans were as brave as the drivers... Some great men and women lost their lives for a chance to witness greatness. Dangerous or not, if the fans and drivers are aware of the risks, why should it be illegal to take them? A man who gives his life for the sake of something he loves, knowing the risks, is not a fair reason to ban innovation... With innovation, comes failure. But with multiple failures, comes perfection.

You asked about the post credit thing? Right away I thought of Frontline, an Australian mockumentary of sorts. More of a show really, that isn't much different, in parts, to Alan Partridge. Frontline, a mock current affairs TV show, predates both, and it is well worth a look, even for its educational value. On a side note, there was another British mockumentary that predates The Office, 'People Like Us'.

Not setting off a firecracker in someone's closed hand, it is setting off a firecracker next to a bottle of nitroglycerin you are storing in a truck full of gunpowder.

That Alan Partridge video is masterful. How they captured such authenticity is nothing short of genius. Then there's the fat face prosthetic thing going on, it just sends a even weirder vibe. Having grown up in the 80s, you'd get these tacky shows out of the UK, Australia, and the cream of the crop, well that prize goes to Canada. I still feel uneasy about shows of theirs I viewed 35 years ago.

My best friend is coming down to visit tomorrow. We talk a few times a week, and usually see each other (and families) every few months. We first met when he started working on the same team I had got a job with only 2 weeks previously. The first time I met him,. I did a piss-take of his accent. This was over THIRTY YEARS ago - we were a Welshman and an Irishman working in London.

David Brent illustrates the stupidity of corporate culture. Brent was an outstanding salesman, outperforming every other salesperson in the organisation. Because of this he was then promoted to the role of regional manager, of which he had no experience, skills or competence to do. The company lost a brilliant salesperson and gained an incompetent manager by choice and this is why 99% of all organisations are terrible - the practise of placing the wrong people in senior leadership roles because they were good at what they did and not because they are good leaders.

Whilst I don't love my co-workers, becoming mates with them makes the working day vaguely tolerable. I think your scepticism comes from America not having any workers rights! Most of you don't get sick pay, very little annual leave (holiday time), your minimum wage is dire, you don't have maternity or paternity right, or a maximum working week. In Europe, we have better workers rights. Even so, I'm one moderate lottery win from walking away from work!! 🤣😆 The bloke on the video the office staff were watching was Peter Purves, he was a presenter on Blue Peter (a kids show) in the 1970s. His name was pronounced "Purr viss", not pervs. 🤣

The character of Finchy really creeps me out. It reminds me of some men in the 90s who were arrogant and often nasty bullies who had a massive sense of entitlement and thought they were god's gift to women. It's a very accurate portryal. Gervais wrote characters very well, as much as they were lothesome.

8:30 Nobody stole anything from anyone, both shows are making a reference to a real life case that happened in 2001 when German guy made a deal with someone on the internet, he voluntarily let the guy kill him after which he ate his penis and other parts. It's like having two shows that both make a reference to 9/11 and saying that one show stole the reference from the other show. Obviously, that is not how that works.

What you're probably not getting about Brent is that this came out when Reality TV was in its infancy over here. There had been a few reality shows and other fly-on-the-wall shows where the people involved had become famous. From the interactions with his boss, it is clear that Brent was actually good at his job before this. However now the cameras have turned up, he wants to show the world how talented and funny he is. He is desperate for fame. Unfortunately he is neither talented or funny and what you are seeing is his desperation as he prostrates himself for the public, because he desperate wants everyone to like him.
