I love the "don't you dare look back" part

Ahh I love how literal the sign interpretation is for moments like "she took my arm" and "keep your eyes on me;" it really reflects the simplicity and vitality of the lyrics. And of course, Amber's brilliant expression of the musical interludes is so enjoyable and engaging.

holy crap. i just watched her feature on VOX and decided to look her up. Amber is fantastic. This is a true skill of presentation, pantomime, and preparedness with the material. I wonder if the gestures for displaying beats and riffs universal, or illustrating the cleverness of lyrics are universal or if she has found an opportunity to be creative with word plays?

You saw her on vox too?

In the vox piece, she said she had to combine signs to illustrate the lyrics. You can see it here where she uses her middle finger as part of showing the uncompromising/daring/playful tone of the woman saying, "Shut up and dance with me!" This is a whole other layer of artistry added to what the original artists created. It's amazing - she's amazing! I'm going to go look up her Patreon and move some funds around to sponsor her work.

I remember I went to Lollapalooza for the first time back in 2015 with my sister and we were excited that we got to see you sign this in person. It was an amazing time, you're awesome Amber! :D

the only thing I dislike is at some points the signing doesn't look like it matches the music but besides that it's amazing

Hi Amber! I wonder if you do take a request for songs. I have one and I really hope you could do that. The song called "Who's laughing now" by Jessie J. If you did it. I love you so much and thank you in advance!! :)

What is she saying in the second to last "shut up and dance with me"? It was different from the rest.
@portrayalc5777 жыл бұрын
CurveTheRain I was wondering too, it's like she's trying to say stop or cut out the nonsense, just dance with me? without having to repeat shut up again...
@captsparrowslady5 жыл бұрын
I think the "shut up" part of the lyrics she sometimes signs/mimes cutting off her hands at the wrist as in "Stop Signing and Dance With Me"
