MC Mong is finally back after five years of silence!
There are feelings of longing and anger left after a lover leaves without saying anything. The album shows his feelings in between the lines, and he wants to talk to the people who have been quietly waiting for him through music, the only outlet he has since he was cut off from the world.
The title song ‘MiSS ME OR DISS ME?’ is a question and answer that he throws to himself. He gave up everything and lived a life disconnected from the world. Now he is overcoming the difficulties with courage. He compares his life to a flower, where it can’t be owned because it’s beautiful and can’t be thrown away because it has withered. It shows his hurt feelings.

黙って去ってしまった恋人に対する懐かしさと憎しみ、この2つの気持ちが共存するように、危うい境界線に立っているような彼の気持ちを代弁するこのアルバムは、まるで長い時間彼の音楽を静かに待ってくれた人のための告白を、音楽という唯一の窓口を介して切断されてしまった世の中とのコミュニケーションを始めようとする。
タイトル曲「私が恋しかったの」は、MCモンが自分に投げかけた質問と答えである。すべてを諦めて辛くて断絶された人生を生きていた彼が、再び自分自身を励まし挫折と諦めではなく、勇気と克服を選択することができた話。自分の人生を花に例えて美しいからといって手に入れることもできず枯れたからといって捨てることもできなかった辛かった気持ちをそのまま込めた歌だ。
5년간의 오랜 침묵을 끝으로 음악으로 돌아온 MC몽!
말없이 떠나 버린 연인에 대한 그리움과 미움 그 두 가지 마음이 공존하듯 위태로운 경계선에 서 있는 듯한 그의 마음을 대변하는 이 앨범은 마치 오랜 시간 그의 음악을 소리 없이 기다려준 사람을 위한 고백을 음악이라는 유일한 창구를 통해 단절되어 버린 세상과의 소통을 시작하려한다.
타이틀곡 ‘내가 그리웠니?’는 MC몽이 스스로에게 던지는 물음과 또 대답이다. 모든 걸 포기하고 아파하고 단절된 삶을 살던 그가 다시금 스스로를 격려하며 좌절과 포기보다는 용기와 극복을 선택할 수 있었던 이야기. 자신의 삶을 꽃으로 비유해 아름답다고 해서 가질 수도 없고 시들어 벼렸다고 해서 버릴 수 없었던 아픈 마음을 고스란히 담은 노래다.

Leaving the whole discussion about his military service aside, this song is amazing (and that goes for almost all songs on his album). In all honesty, this to me is one of the best songs released in the Korean music scene for some months. He may have done something that wasn't right, but that does not change the fact that this man can make some good music and props to him for that. Y'all can continue to argue while I enjoy his music.
