This song has been out for over 3 years now, and I still get amazed every time i watch this MV. The symbolism, the play on words, how it represents the beginning stages of love, when you are constantly on the phone with the person you like. It starts with IU being woken up by what seems like an earthquake, which could mean her phone vibrating, or the impact this message from the person she likes has on her, that it shakes up her whole existence. She rushes down the stairs to check her mail, representing how we rush to our phone when we think our crush has texted us. The courtship process, she gets different gifts everyday, as in every day she gets to know this person more and more and the courtship begins, getting to know the person you like, texting back and forth non-stop. Then there is these explosions of flowers around her, how we get so excited and dance or smile, or squeal and get butterflies when the person we like triggers these reactions in us. She talks about their "rectangle box is bloom", as in their cellphones are filled with each others text and their new found love, she then says "we let roses bloom with our thumbs" as in every text they send, makes their love garden in their hearts grow bigger, this garden they are creating is so beautiful and exciting she can almost smell it in her head, it's a secret garden just for the 2 of them, as they are 2 accomplices in this new adventure, no one else. "Blueming" is a beautiful play on words, mixing Blooming and Blue. Being "blue" often gets interpreted as being sad, but it's not quite like that, it can mean being melancholic, missing someone, longing for someone or something. And "bloom" because its spring in their hearts, as their new love flourishes. Also blue flowers were a main symbol for the romanticism movements back in the day, representing hope, desire and deep love. I can't get enough of this amazing song and MV and IU as a genius artist
