She really is a good storyteller. I love how when she writes her lyrics, the intention is to not only make you listen, but also to let you see how the story happened. The way she sings makes you feel the emotion she wants you to feel and I believe it's a great factor if you want to be great singer and artist. You're not making a song to be popular, you're making them to touch lives and that's exactly what she does.

Fyi the man on keyboard is Kim Jaehwi, the composer who worked with IU on Through the night (2017), Snowman (2018), My Old Story (2014) and many more. He’s the one who composed and sang My Mister’s ost Dear Moon to which IU wrote lyrics. He’s very young, only 21 I think, and have worked with IU since high school days. They have a very good relationship!

It's sad how after reading the lyrics I realize this song that I've been listening to every day and night because it is simply beautiful and heartwarming along with IU's fairy like voice, is actually a perfect description to my real current Nights.. I've been chronically ill for a while now, so I end up awake at night while others are sleeping thinking about an old laughing me, waiting for a possible day I could win myself back. The lyrics "don't wake me up I'm going to sleep tight" is something I used to tell my family so often when I take sleeping pills to not wake me up since I'll end up fighting my daily pain and not sleeping; and like she said I wish there was a shortcut to where a healthy happy me is. I'm disappointed with the people saying horrible things to her it hurt me as a person.If only you know her more the past IU until today you won't say those things. You don't have to like her we just ask a little respect. I follow her career since 2008 until now and I admire only few celebrities those worthy to be praise and IU is one of them. You don't even know her for you to judge. Where she is now is because of her talent plus good heart plus great attitude. She work without complain,sleep,and even if she is sick.Simple misunderstanding will not shake her career and the people who truly believe in her. she did a great job with her album it's hard to sing,produce and co-compose the songs. If theirs mistake in her part please be considerate since it's her first time trying new things to show her musicality if people got offended or hurt she did not mean it the way you interpret her works. She doesn't mean any harm to anyone.

Because they accuse her in misinterpreting the character in the book that she got inspiration in writing the song zeze. They are saying she is a pedophile duh! it's not even close. They are just making up things to ruin her since she is so successful and they want to get ride on it by saying horrible things. IU's success is due to her talent,hard work, and passion. People just don't have anything to do with their lives and they want to ruin her. they twisted her interpretation and use it to gossip about but like what I've said a true Uaena knows her and will not be shaken or leave her because of it. IU's fans all over the world are solid though we can't communicate with the same language but we have something in common enough to understand each other and that's IU.

Your welcome! I'm not usually pay attention or post something to defend someone but it's just too much. I'ts not as if she killed someone to get those hates. They twisted her words to mean something other than what she meant. I just can't stand to watch in silence. They don't have to like her but they have to respect her but I realize that she receive those attention with every move she make because she is popular not just seasonal popularity but someone who can affect the stock market if she did something that doesn't please everyone. I'ts part of being a celebrity. IU is IU no matter what they say. You will know her even if you did not meet her just by watching her reaction to every situation she face. I'm not saying she is perfect but what I'm saying is she is a good person. And she love genuinely her fans that's why I love her. You will know how sincere a person is through her eyes. Whenever she greet her fans i can see that she is thankful and delighted to all. A person who didn't forget who help her get though the tough times and continue to be thankful to all of them. I like her because she is not a celebrity who just accept love to everyone but really try hard to give it back in any way she can. Oh sorry it's too long. Well that's how much i love her. I may admire other celebrity and get tired of them but i will always be a fan of IU through good and bad times in her career. I will always support her no matter what. Aja! ^_^

For what I know, IU wrote this song about her grandmother too. The grandmother was sick and IU couldn't sleep because she was worried, so she started to remember every single thing they loved to do together and finally fell asleep, idk, i think the grandmother died in the same day. PS: I could be wrong, I just remember reading it from some site.

Undeniably one of my IU favourites. A sudden wave of emotions hit me when i first hear this. This got to be one of the most beautiful song sang my IU. While she sang this, she clearly uses her emotion to convey the message of this song. She seems to be tearing up from this and i guess she must have been through a lot to get to where she is now.
