seem to be having problems with my scrambler 90. Cant get it running unless i block off air to the carby. Doesn't help that it hasn't been started for around 6 years. Any help would be appreciated. Thankyou

Hey I have the exact same quad and mine struggles on turns with power and when im not accelerating or im stopped but it's still running it's shuts off i cleaned out the air filter and I got some more oil because my oil lamp was flashing and it still happens coupl you help me out

Hi, I really find your videos very useful. Is there any way to contact you? I would love your help with my 2003 Polaris sportsman 90. It has no spark. Most of the mechanical work I can do myself , but electrical I am clueless. I would like to find the root of my problem before I bought replacement parts. I would love to see a video on how to test coil, cdi, stator, kill switch, ignition. Any help appreciated. Keep the videos rolling.

Hi Hannah, Glad you like my vids. I downloaded a service manual pdf file that tells you everything you can do to one of these, and how to do it. I recommend that you do the same. You can go to my home page and click "About" then you can send me private messages from there. Here's some things to check 1st. SPARK CHECKING PRODUCEDURE Was it sparking before ? Since it was working before it's probably something simple, like a loose connection or a bad ground at the ignition coil, Run switch is turned off. Something simple like that, it's easy to overlook the easy stuff. Cuz it's easy & we don't give it enough thought or attention. Here's the list of things to check as I would do it. You'll need a multitester set to test continuity. Is the run /kill switch in the run position ? ok, here we go then, 1st- Ignition coil, make sure it's plugged in and grounded well, also check your fuse and battery ground 2nd- check all electrical plugs, make sure they're plugged in well 3rd- test all things for continuity, pick up coil, magneto, stator ( all 3 are inside the clutch cover ) ( this may vary because this was writth for a Kawasaki KLF) each has a 2 wire lead coming out of the cover. also test the ignition coil ( ground to spark plug wire & hot lead in, to spark plug wire. If all those test good, then you'll need to test the cdi. I made a video about that and it's time consuming but can be done. (I'm Not sure how to test the cdi on a scrambler) If all that tests out good. There is a proper gap on the pick up coil inside the clutch cover, if you didn't loosen it it should be fine. If you did it may need re-gapped KLF 185 MAGNETO INSTALL KLF 185 atv Magneto & Stator install (This will be for example sake) If all that is good & sound, get back to me & we'll brainstorm together to try to figure out what may be wrong. I believe it's under the front plastic, once you get in there you should see it, & how it mounts.
