In Saudi Arabia , we took this engine from lixus LS400 and swap it on Toyota hilux .. as a cheap option more than others 🤸🏻♂️

The 1uz engines are just great motors. My friends brother in law was a tech for like 15 years for Lexus. He told me if you take care of those motors with good oil intervals they're bullet proof

Lovely, lovely engine. Sounds magnificent. Your part time radiator shows how it should be done. I can't stand first time start videos where they run them without coolant. Like you have shown, you just need a bucket and a couple of pipes to protect the engine.

I want to make something like this just for prototyping (to learn how to tune and work with car engines).

What else must be done to start this type of engine or a 2jz engine? Think you said clear codes in ecu or itll never start. Id need to buy another ecu or get someone to get programmed correctly

Look up Toyota Epic boats, there were factory Toyota ski boats using these engines (with a few modifications).

What all do you need from the factory harness to start and run, I got a 1UZ from a 91 LS 400 but I have the entire harness and I have power but no power to starter once I turn the factory key and ignition
@NumbchuxSOAD4 жыл бұрын
I downloaded all the factory manuals and diagrams from Lexus/Toyota TIS, and probably spent 8-10 hours stripping the harness down to what I need and cutting out what I don't before attempting to start it. The starter circuit is pretty simple, main battery wire goes right to the starter solenoid, and a trigger wire to activate the solenoid (which right now, I just touch on the battery, I'll have a relay for it when it comes time to install). Get out your multimeter (or test light) and start checking for power.
