First Edit: wow that was a close game. One thing I noticed was that you took multiple intensive trainings but then didn’t use them for most of the game. I find myself doing similar things, so do you think that card may be a trap more often than it’s useful?

If I'm being completely honest, I took them to meme a little bit because I got destroyed and I thought it would be funny to level something up a bunch. I thought I had a better chance at squeezing water from a stone than winning that game. But once I started to come back, I had to shift my supplies to tech I thought would be better. In this particular case, I absolutely wasted them. Sometimes they can be really good though.

Exactly! Keep fighting if there's a chance, even a small one.

I was 99% sure I had lost. Unless it's mathematically impossible though, I still have to try.

Let's go!!! I was hyped but at the same time, Vulcan is so broken I almost felt bad.

Nice recovery those situations can get real hairy real fast, Feel like if you spammed chaff early rounds more (specifically i think tripple chaff when you dropped scorp) would have really given you the upper hand since he really did have terrible chaff clear for most of that early game.
@WhoopedGG20 күн бұрын
Yeah, you're probably right. I don't think Scorpion was the play. The problem was, once I had the Scorpion, I couldn't clear his chaff. I didn't even think about him not being able to clear mine. Nice perspective!

Nice pivot! Does health at the end of a game interact with how much MMR you gain? Cause if not, a win is a win and it doesn't matter how much health left you have. Health then becomes a resource to be spent. Spend it until you can dominate. Even at 10 health your units still operate at 100% efficiency with no penalty.
@WhoopedGG19 күн бұрын
You're 100% correct. Doesn't matter if we win by 1 or 1,000.

That's a good insight. You have to be careful though. Low health makes you vulnerable to a cheese play. There are plays that can win you a round, but can easily be countered once you know they are there. For instance, last night the opponent and I each had less than 1k health. We both had balanced, asymmetric boards. I chose "level 5 crawlers." I put three deployments of teched, rank 5 crawlers on his lightly defended flank that I had touched, and then sold out of earlier. The crawlers overwhelmed him, taking tower quickly, and doing 120k damage on his flank/backline. It's a cheese play that won me the game and would easily be countered next round. It was a good play as it was almost certainly the final round of the game.

Vulcans are pretty bad without upgrades to be honest, so it is a considerable investment to get them. Since it was a drop, and he also got it, he could have just done the same as you...

Vulcan + Scorching is good. Once it's level two, it's amazing. He could have, but he didn't. I don't mind 🤣

Your comment about taking threats seriously is something I've been trying to focus on. Respond to threats. We don't need to spend all our money on the response, but have *something*. Because if we don't respond and the opponent invests in it, we're going to stay behind.

Yeah it's something I struggle with too. I feel confident in my anti-air, so much so that sometimes I relax on it too much.

hahahah I love this comment. (It's because I thought I was going to lose and Vulcans are OP so I just kind of memed a bit and got range + scorch and it actually worked lol)
