The story of inspiration for 1×1 is an awesome story of humanity and the selflessness that many African Americans showed in the early 20th century. Risks his life to safe lives of people who looked at him as a lesser person than themselves. Just because of the color of his skin.

@@funnyguy6686 it's actually based off of a heroic effort by an African American man one night in a small town in ......I want to say Mississippi. I could have the wrong state. He was nick named Sugar Man because he sold candy. A bridge washed out during a storm. Cars couldn't see the bridge was washed out .several cars drove off the cliff into the raging waters below. Sugar Man lept into danger and 1×1 started pulling people out. Despite popular belief. Musicians write about real life events that spark inspiration. Everything is not metaphor for Coke, Smack and Booze

According to the actual musician who wrote the song, you are still wrong.

Had to use a different entrance and different restrooms. Couldn't eat at the same places. Were called names, framed in crimes, beaten for no reason and many other atrocities. Still jumps into raging flood waters with a collapsed bridge above to save the same people that treat him like a second class citizen. Who was in the hot seat at the Pearly Gates? Sugar Man was lead in ,his VIP spot waiting on his arrival
