I've been driving this car for half a year. Soooo great in any dimension. I had a 2017 BMW 525Li before and Zeeker 001 is better in acceleration, NVH, space, and comfortability. Only thing I complained was the Zeeker OS 1.04, but it's much better now after the 2.0 was released. You will definitely love it!

I’ve just started the ball rolling to purchase a 2023 Ioniq 5 as I’d like the bigger 77kwhr battery but if it was at all possible to get a Zeekr 001, this is the car that I’d prefer. The longer range would counter the drag of carting things on the roof. 2m wide though would be a tight squeeze to fit in the driveway

Actually I do live in China. This car does look fantastic, but I think I am more in the market for a BYD Dolphin or something very practical. Here in small-town China, there are all kinds of small vehicles swarming about the place with drivers who seem to suffer from some kind of tunnel vision and a compulsion to cut everyone off at every turn. So a small, light and affordable car will have to be the first when I go electric.

My fear is that Chinese made cars may not be let into the country due to "spy equipment." Volvo needs to build Zeekr in the U.S. to get them on the road here. All Volvos sold in the States are made in the States is my understanding. I think the first Chinese built car that'll be sold in America will be the Toyota/Subaru SUV built by BYD. That could be the icebreaker that opens the floodgates. I want a NIO ET5 so somebody needs to get Chinese cars stateside.

You're right about mode3s and ys not having a console with speed having to look to the centre and lose contact with the road my friends who own them this is their 1st gripe both have added a speedo from other manufacturers who have sold out as so many model 3 and Y owners but the add on one cost a thousand bucks which come with a new dash panel but only produce a left-hand drive version at the moment and can't keep up with the orders as so many have ordered one the other is a lot cheaper which is just a clip-on which fits the panel behind the steering wheel which is about 3 inches in diameter and give basic information speed and direction what driver you are in and so on not sure of the price but the 1000 dollar one looks amazing but does have a few software quirks but they are fixing them as tesla keep updating they also have to keep up but they will make it updatable so it updates through teslas own updates which will be great and look like they were made by tesla so with so many orders you would think tesla would make there own addon speedo dash panel as an extra personly I think they should be fitted as standard it also make the car look better with the full kit fitted a 1000 dollars is a lot but you do get updates plus a new dash panel as well.

Sounds like they are targeting LHD markets. Hopefully RHD markets get consideration too. With Lotus under their ownership the handling should be good. They are really going for the Porsche Taycan Cross Turismo market. 16,500 rpm is getting up there closer to Tesla's 18,000 rpm motors pushing out top speed without compromising on acceleration, or needing a 2 speed transmission. I like everything about it.

this is a big car, 2 meter wide, a bit too big for european markets I think. it was on my radar until et7 and l7 caught my attention.

As we know Tesla has overtaken the industry as far as safety regulations in the world. I wonder how Zeeker will stack up? Otherwise looks like an amazing EV for the price.

I haven't seen any Zeekr on fire so far even though Zeekr does have a much smaller sample size compared to Tesla, but I've seen photos/videos of Zeekr crashing through brick walls, in severe accidents and fortunately all drivers are well-protected and no fire at all.

Hopefully, replacement interior parts (seats, door cards, headliner, etc) will not cost silly money. Because these are what will wear out. A two million km car is pointless when the car itself is age trashed. 800 volts system does nothing about the power currents (amperage) seen at cell terminals.

Sam you are a very trusting individual and I like that. Are you positive the battery pack will last 2 million kilo, or is this as credible as VW's clean burning diesels or self charging batteries? We all want to believe the good news every manufacturer has for new products but please be careful my friend.
