IT WAS WONDER TO WATCH THIS EPISODE, BECAUSE MY DAD'S BIRTHDAY CAME ON THE 21 OF AUG. WE HAD HIDDEN HIS GIFTS THROUGHOUT THE HOUSE. IT WAS FUN WATCHING HIM TRYING TO PLAY DETECTIVE & FIND THEM. UNFORTUNATELY LIKE MURDOCH HE DISCOVERED THEM. IT WAS BEAUTIFUL TO SEE HOW FAR MURDOCH, HAD COME IN HIS ROLE AS FATHER TO SCOTT & JOHNNY. AND FOR HIS (2) SONS TO LET HIM HOW MUCH HE MEANT TO THEM. " IN A SCENE FROM THE HIGH RIDERS" HE TELLS TERESA THAT HE NEEDS TO GET HIS SELF A DOG, FOR THEY OBEY, & DON'T TALK BACK. AND THE SECOND THING WAS THAT, THEY WERE STRANGERS TO HIM. BOY! HOW WRONG IS HE? (3) SUPPOSEDLY STRANGERS, COMES TOGETHER TO FORM ONE STRONG UNITED FRONT AS A 👪(FAMILY). A FAMILY NAME LANCER. (HAPPY BIRTHDAY) MURDOCH, YOU ARE LOVED. A DEVOTED LANCER FAN 🎥💝💝😀😍

I think this is my favourite one so far. I remember this being my favourite show when I was little, but I didn't remember any actual episodes. Thank you SO MUCH for letting us watch them again. Still my favourite show!

I watch an episode almost daily until at the end then start again. Over the top but can't help myself.

Eric Scott (Ben Walton) appeared in this episode. He and Andrew Duggan would appear in the end of the 1971 made for tv film "The Homecoming".

Very good thanks for posting. Would you happen to have Lamp in the Wilderness by chance?

Lancer Fan Sorry to hear that did you get your disk from the guy on eBay? I love this show came on the day after my birthday way back in 68 it was like a late present then. Now when I have data I come here and watch what you post it is one of the few pleasures I get to indulge in these days. If I ever get the funds I was planning on getting a copy from eBay but not if they don't work.

Cheeky Monkey I did not get them from EBay. There is a girl in Canada that sells them. I can order just the one CD but have not gotten around to it. I believe I am missing 4 or 5 episodes from KZbin.

"Cheeky Monkey" when I was adding "Lancerfan" videos to my watch list I had Googled the Episode guide!! Whenever an episode was missing I used KZbin's Search to find it!! and place it in the correct the spot!! I found ALL except one!!!! These are wonderfully PRICELESS since I been retired 10 years and have WATCHED almost ALL the GOOD westerns on KZbin!!!! at least twice!!! We just need MORE old REAL westerns!!!! I do "Cowboy Re-enactments" and LOVE LOVE LOVE being a KID once again!!! Sad part is my Old Body Don't!!! LOL Y'all Folks have a Rowdy Day now ya hear!!!!

What did I miss here? (My hearing's not as sharp as it was when I first watched "Lancer " in 1968 1. If the sow was turned into pork chops, what's with the pig that Jelly brings home? 2. I don't think the children, especially the girl, would feel good eating a pig that had grown fond of, even if they are farm kids used to seeing animals slaughtered. 3. How is it Murdoch just happens to show up at each home where his gifts ended up? 4. The girl-in-the-bathtub scene seems lifted from a James Bond movie. (Cute how Johnny tries to get a peek, though.) 5. Teresa should have been in the scene where Murdoch's birthday is being celebrated. Doesn't make sense that she wouldn't be. I just didn't like this episode, even though it was co-written by D.C. Fontana, who wrote beautiful scripts for "Star Trek."

They did not kill Jelly's sow. He sold his new boots to buy them food. Murdoch was going house to house drumming up votes for a friend running for governor or something.

You are right about Teresa, she should have been there.
