i loooooove mini twists! i keep thinking i want locs too but i actually love the process if installing mini twists, letting them evolve over 6-8 weeks and then redoing them. i hate daily styling...but a weekend with mini twists been a vibe for over a year now and my hair is THRIVING! so i feel you. love her locs tho.

Very phenomenal journey. I'm so happy for you. I started my loc journey last year October 11th,and it's been 6 months so far. They are in the locking,and budding process now. My 4th time around having locs,I like them so far,my best set so far,keeping them this time,letting them grow long,and in for the long haul. I'm excited for some reason this time,my boyfriend was overjoyed as well, I made the decision to start them again,and he loves them. He has locs also, had them for 6 years now,I'm so jealous of his hair,and I can't wait to mines have a good amount of length. Your locs are beautiful! Inspires me to keep moving forward in my process. I started my locs on year ago March 30. Like you I was a loose natural for 10 plus years and no heat unless it was a blow dry for braids. The frustrating thing with where I am now in my loc journey is my locs are all different lengths. The front seems to be a lot shorter than the back. It makes it very hard to style. I wear a lot of headbands. I can’t wear a ponytail because I can’t get the front of my locs in it 😔
