Dude, you rock! This is the second video I’ve watched from you to fix my car. I’m on a road trip through the desert to see family and was afraid I’d have to stop my trip to get my car fixed. Pulled off the freeway into an autozone. Diagnosed my car. Got the parts, watched your video and now I’m driving smoothly on my way to see our 90yo grandma. You literally saved me precious time and $ once again. Thank you!

You should have told ppl to look in the hole before taking out the spark plug. Sometimes dirt and other things get into the holes and if you don't blow it out it will fall into the cylinder when you pull out the plug. Always clean it out first then pull the plug.

@housebaelishgaming3 жыл бұрын
Got all my plugs in and k and n air filter thankfully i didn't have a plug shoot through my hood and startup now seems to Rev much higher now like its excited. I also made an odd discovery the factory calls for a 0.47 gap I did a 0.43 on my ngk IXs and when I measured the the champions that came out of the car they were also a 0.43 hmmmm and they've been in there for 42k miles. What's your take on this? Also if one of plugs wasn't exactly 0.43 but a little off would this hurt anything ?
@603Mechanicvids3 жыл бұрын
I'm sure the engine was very happy with the new parts I would always recommend making sure the gap is what the manufacturer recommends, not really sure why the old plugs were .043 instead of the .047 have the plugs been changed before you did it?
@housebaelishgaming3 жыл бұрын
@@603Mechanicvids nope I think not. As they were the champions rated for 75000 miles or so but I like precautionary service. Idk why NGK recommended 0.43 but apparently mopar agreed but tells everyone 0.47 I don't get it

How can you tell what cylinder it is? A code came up and said my issue is a failing engine coil and sparkplug. I'm planning on doing the repair on my own. But the failing part(s) is on cylinder 3.
@603Mechanicvids Жыл бұрын
so the front of your engine is the side where all your pulleys and belts are. so the cylinder closest to the front is #1 then in order #2, #3, #4

Same exact code just happened to my car and I'm only at 56k miles. #3 coil too
@regaininglife9084 Жыл бұрын
@artemismae356 I found out that the front of the engine is where all the belts and pulleys are. From the front, it counts in order, 1, 2, 3 , 4, and so on. When you're standing at the front of your car, the engine, at least in my car, is sideways, and the front of the engine faces the right of the car. Once you identify the front, you should be good. If your issue is at cylinder 3, from the front of the engine, just count 3 back.
@regaininglife9084 Жыл бұрын
@artemismae356 it's an easy fix. I recommend replacing all of the coils and sparkplugs in the engine. When I replaced mine at cylinder 3, the problem lessened but was still a little jerky. So, I replaced them all and now it runs smoothly.
