Question, what made you come to 10% on promoted listing across the board 🤔?
@kandmresell Жыл бұрын
Honestly we started doing it when they released it years back. It helped and always has helped sales, as well as we had the margin to do it and every time we have tried to turn it off, our sales absolutely tank. We will probably decrease them though in the future once we get to the sales a day we are aiming for! My advise is if you can afford to run them with your business model, then try an experiment with them to see the outcome and to see if it’s worth keeping them on! but, if you’re happy with your current sellthrough/sales then don’t change what works!

Great video! What’s the best way to search sell through rate?
@kandmresell Жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching! Great question, and we will make a more in depth video on the in the coming weeks. When looking up a potential item in store on the eBay app, first search up what you have and then go to filters in the top right corner. You’ll look at the number of how many items are listed based on your search terms and filters. This number is shown in blue at the bottom! Say it’s a Peter millar summer comfort polo and there are 80 geometric size large polos listed. You will then scroll further down the filters section and toggle on the sold and completed items buttons. Check out what that number says at the bottom! The goal in the example I gave would be that at least 80 geometric size large Peter millar summer comfort polos would have sold too! These search results show everything from 90 days! We also like to filter it as much as possible (if it’s used, make sure you change the condition to pre-owned, size, sometimes material). From there it’s just looking in the solds to see if you like the sale prices you are seeing vs item cost in store! Best of luck!
@Market72 Жыл бұрын

New subscriber here…. Thanks for the great video! If you had only 30 minutes to run into the thrift store, where would you go first?
@kandmresell Жыл бұрын
I can usually look through the entire men’s category in 30 mins, but the route I do in stores in typically shoes, quick scan jeans and pants, (winter stuff due to the season), button shirts, polos. I don’t touch the t shirt section unless they are on a new rack. My recommendation is to just do the category you are the most familiar with at first or if you’re familiar with most categories than do the one your gonna find the most items in on average, whether that’s most average sale price items or just quantity. Your choosing. There’s also a lot of variations to that though for us, as we know our competition in Dallas and what they sell typically so if we see a pants seller walk in at the same time, we might decide to go through the pants before anything else to increase our odds of finding flips and compete with the competition.

Good sales - out of curiosity, How do you determine your price, as in the last 2 digests. typically sellers use the same. .99, .95. or if your a tech student .88 But yours are all over the place. Just curious
@kandmresell Жыл бұрын
Thank you! Great question… my wife and I both make listings and use different numbers for the change. I always joke that my items are with .01 more based on my experience 🤣 it also helps us when something gets returned because we know whose listing it was. My wife tends to end things is .86 and I tend to end things in .87 or .88 depending on the dollar value… sometimes with the higher dollar items, all thinking goes out the window and we will use whatever we want (that’s where you see some odd ones!). We also sell similar and reduce the item cost of things that have been sitting for a month by 5%. That makes the change wonky too. Definitely not a whole lot of strategy or consistency over here!

My advice is I learned on KZbin from others who were successful and you can also do the same! The most important thing I would advise is to study sell-through rate and once you understand it, begin researching as much as you can through what others are selling on KZbin as well as personal research of looking things up to figure out what’s good and what’s not. Sell-through rate is the make or break of resellers and there’s plenty of videos out there to help learn it as well as I will be posting videos in the near future about it. The last tip of advice is spend 90-95% of your time researching what to buy at the start if you’re worried about buying bad items. I love your drive at 16 to want to start a business! Wish I had started this business when I was in high school haha. Oh last thing, go slow and steady and always aim for growth. Just cause everyone is flexing large numbers on social doesn’t mean you need to race to the level they are at. It took them time to get to the point they are and it’ll take you time as well. The most enjoyable part of the business is the beginning, so enjoy the ups and downs through the process cause they will come! Thanks for watching and hope my videos help you if you decide to pursue this hussle!

@kandmresell Жыл бұрын
The only reason we have one is due to the decreased listing fee costs with having one. Once your store gets to a certain point in active listings, it becomes better to pay the monthly store subscription than paying insertion fees as the monthly cost is much cheaper than the insertion fee cost throughout the month. Hope that makes sense! In short - only worth it once you get to a certain size. It was not a sales increase question for us.
