In late position betting A10 on the flop in that 💣 pot is ok but in the blinds i like that check...nice call with the AK too!
@dougmccuskerpoker2 жыл бұрын
Leading with top pair weak kicker in bomb pots is burning $$ IMO. Even late position, it should fall into the bluffing category, pray it gets through. If called or raised, you are most likely behind. AK was an easier call once I picked up on the additional information.
@reneesusy21412 жыл бұрын
By just flatting on the flop you allow yourself to navigate the turn. In this case, the 10 rolling off misses the front door flush draw for the time being and decreases the probability of the opponent having A10 for a flopped two pairs. That said, great decision making and awesome content as usual.
@dougmccuskerpoker2 жыл бұрын
Flatting is good with deep stacks IMO, the question I asked myself is whether or not a jam makes sense since there was only 260 behind. Close call.

THE HAND IN QUESTION, U STILL HAD THE PLAYER ON UR RIGHT WHO BET 60 ON THE FLOP, ,INDICATING HE MIGHT HAVE A STRONG HAND, WITH THAT I THINK YOU WERE CORRECT TO WAIT TILL THE TURN TO JAM
@dougmccuskerpoker2 жыл бұрын
It is a close decision, if my opponent had a deeper stack, calling is the best. With their shorter stack, there is really not to much harm in jamming if they have a better hand. It’s unlikely I can fold for $260 if a blank hits.

AQs: Otf, villain can have ATs, 22, diamond draws... of course the Axdd. Ugh. Nasty stack sizes again after the flop. (Not much you could do about it.) You don't really have a choice but to call after pf aggressor cb's into you, since he can have all the nuts here. After the raise I expected all the money to go in bc of stack size. I don't think flop/turn really matters.
@dougmccuskerpoker2 жыл бұрын
I agree, the stack sizes make jamming the better option IMO, if I run into it, oh well.

Hello, very nice vlog. I must criticize your A-Qs play from 2 sides. To my opinion; post flop it was a clear all-in on the flop not the turn. Cause if you just call his raise, you are giving him unnecessary free card. He can have easily multi draw hands like; (K-Qs, K-Js, Q-Js) or just flush draw with A-x of diamond, which he can also improve to two-pair on the turn. Playing before the flop was more problematic. Correct play was a clear 4-bet. After your 4x open from UTG, you had two callers behind you before you were raised by BB. If you just call that raise you are giving perfect pot odds to other 2 players who may have a small pocket pair with set potential. This is one of the worst scenarios in deep stack play. Your 4-bet play could get those 2-callers to fold their hands and you could play heads-up against BB in position with additional fold equity. Have fun for next vlogs.
@dougmccuskerpoker2 жыл бұрын
I agree with you completely. I feel a 4 bet is the go to play. Get position and narrow the field. On the flop, a shove looks best. I need to take more aggressive lines, thanks for the feedback!
