​@sorshiaemms5959 yea they've also had 5 second quarter mile 4v mod motors in around 2010 I think it was that was with a 4.6 4v, stock block, stock crank and stock style ported heads. Ain't seen no ls do that. The ls running anywhere near that fast have billit everything and aftermarket everything. I'm so tired of ls swapped mustangs. It's an epidemic here in the US alot of it is just people following others lots of followers and them buying into the whole ls is so much cheaper nonsense.

​@@RyTrapp0Neighbor isn't set up for drag racing at all, the pickup has massive spooling issues, and they just swapped McFlurry over to much larger turbos that don't play well with the torque converter they have right now, so they're waiting on a different one so they can actually launch the thing.

@@RyTrapp0 By 'massive spooling issues' and 'doesn't play well,' I mean the truck doesn't light that monster of a turbo until something like 6k RPM, and McFlurry hasn't come close to their normal 60' time. I also remembered that McFlurry has a shock that's not extending at all on the launch which is causing all sorts of other issues. Pretty sure Cleetus and James were both out of town when this happened anyway.

The 2 orange Shelby’s @ 8.26. The Shelby in the near lane lost traction and still ran a 13.341 @ 139.72mph. The Shelby in the far lane ran a 10.28 @ 124.42 mph. Can someone explain to me why 1 is faster and the other is quicker? 🤔

Quarter-mile ET is calculated from when the vehicle breaks the starting beams to the time it crosses the finish line. Finish line MPH is calculated by the time it takes the vehicle to run the last 66 feet of the race track. So, it's possible to have a bad ET due to a poor launch, but still run close to the potential of the vehicles top speed. I hope that makes sense.

@@cobracharmer6178 The left lane one blew the tyres off at the start, and looked to have more power, but still put the hammer down = 139+ mph. That would mean it's probably run mid 9 sec ET's before. The 10.2 car's ET would usually mean a trap speed in the low to mid 130's mph; so that guy wasn't going through the last traps (BEAMS ACROSS THE TRACK), at the cars full potencial !!

The mod motors really ain't that complicated. It's just different. Pushrod guys always say they're complicated but I don't think they are.
