2,500-Mile Bikepacking Trip About Loneliness: The Bike Listening Tour

The Bike Listening Tour follows Andrew Mohama on his solo cycling tour across America as he investigates loneliness. Inspired by his passion for community, Mohama sets out to learn more about the Loneliness Epidemic in America, biking along less-traveled rural roads and, at one point, biking across “America’s Loneliest Highway.”
During his tour, Mohama interviewed more than 100 people about their experiences of loneliness and community. The film takes place in Nebraska and follows him on his journey as he interviews people, bikes from town to town, experiences a terrible mechanical failure, and incredible hospitality. Mohama’s goal with his listening tour was to get to know people in rural communities in America and understand how people experience loneliness.
The film encourages the viewer to explore the ideals of community and how loneliness may impact them.

Very interesting. As a child I spent a good bit of time on my 3 uncle's farm in a more rural setting than the suburbs I grew up in and felt much more connected to literally everyone I encountered "in the sticks." I miss those days.
