The Moster Factory is definitely something special. One component I didn't test in this video was the difference between the Helix propeller on the Factory vs the Eprop on the Plus. I just filmed some non-scientific scientific testing so stay tuned for that!

10k ... it's like golf,a rich man's hobby. Sad,cuz them wings are 70 hours of sewing. Of course it's made in Vietnam Cheap Labor (70hrs× 10 bucks an hour= 700 bucks And some nylon cloth and cords 1200 maybe.) And they want 3500, that lasts 300 hours, that's 2 years. Fly for 15 yrs,and you could have bought a cessna172😂😂😂

That motor is called the point of diminishing returns, 30-40% more money for 10% more performance. Just the way it is for good gear. Rotax motors are like that, beautiful engines for light aircrafe and high performance with better fuel consumption. Ever land with roller blades on? And that cruise controll could allow you to sleep while you fly! Just get a proximity sensor so you don't fly into a cliff. Happy flying.

Hay Tucker. You talk about vibration. But to us non-pilots, that is something incomprehensible. You ride a motorcycle and so do I. So how does it compare to a motorcycle. Is it like a one cylinder 4-stroke ? Or more like a V-twin ? Or maybe more like inline 4 cylinder. A little buzz in the seat, I can deal with that. But that vibration that makes your teeth rattle is unexceptable.

@TuckerGott5 жыл бұрын
Hey Stanley! Sorry I missed your comment, but I'm here now just 6 months late. The Mosters vibrate similar to an inline 4 cylinder. It's a high frequency vibration that isn't irritating at all. Other paramotors tend to vibrate like a Harley and that does bother me.

@@nchurricanehunter The light weight Appalachian trail people are down to 8lbs now for a complete backpack, tent, water purification, rain gear, everything but food. I'm a techy dude, never flying anything, I'm just wondering how close can you get to the performance by changing a few simple parts on the stock one? Like the air box and the reed valve? The vibration comes down to internal balance and will extend the life of some parts in the engine. So in the long run the price difference might not be that bad if the engine lives longer

nice review of the motor Tucker. Hey I've seen a tip regarding those rear wired throttles and you should wrap the throttle cable OVER your forearm not under it, to hold it out away from the motor further. Better safety you know. Now, depends how long and where that cable is attached on that motor, I think the scout's are all high up throttle mounts aren't they?

So much is in the assembly and tuning. Factory race bikes in many classes are required to use oem parts, yet they manage many percent better performance just because of the team they have doing the assembly and tune.(slower and not suitable methods for an assembly line.)

Hey Tucker - love these vids - have you done flying with electric motors yet? With your experience, is electric the future of this sport? or is battery limitations still a major problem? There's a lot of companies out now that make small electric motors that have incredible torque - and aerobatics/ altitude changes have no effect on their performance like gas engines. Do some vids on this - everything is switching to electric.

Every human being is afraid of heights to a certain degree. I got over mine once I got airborne with my paramotor, but only the second time. Huge factor is to put your mind to trust your equipment. While flying you will start thinking in 3D in stead of 2D, you will stop looking straight down (still creeps me out from time to time) and just enjoy the incredible view. Just 'falling out of the sky' only happens when you've done something very wrong, might I say very stupid..... My wing just wants to fly, that's enough for me to enjoy it without the need for spare underwear!

@ChessMasterNate6 жыл бұрын
Actually, there are some people from the Mohawk tribe who are not afraid of heights. They may simply have an extraordinary sense of balance that makes them fear falling less. It would be interesting to study if balancing ability correlates with fear of heights. Maybe that has nothing to do with it, and they just have a different allele somewhere that eliminates fear of heights. Or maybe having good balance is selected for because they don't have a fear of heights. Those without the fear and ordinary or sub average balance may have died in accidents more...but those with good balance did just fine without that fear.

Im gonna be a trike pilot due to my aging knees & feet issues (so much fun getting old, lol) so a slight increase in weight would be a non-issue to me
