Matt, looks like a good time. I definitely need to find my way to Moab one of these days with my YJ. I like the continued effort on each obstacle! Looking forward to what’s next!!

Your jeep is awesome. I've had a 98 tj with the 4.0 and now thinking about getting a 97 with the 2.5. Great videos and you need to come to Trail jam here is Tennessee.

I’ll be in Tennessee in October! Looking forward to it

5.13 gears I was going to do a brake upgrade but flushed every bit of brake fluid and replaced. It is plenty and the older style TJ with no ABS, I can lock em down. Non-issue. Must be the light weight.

Where and when in Tennessee? I’ll bring the 4 banger.

Nice job on that last one. The guy in the blue did a great job helping out!

And it looks like a long base unlimited to me I didn't know you could get a four-cylinder in that

Nope, regular length TJ

Very cool, but what’s next with the ‘79 CJ5 ?
@ThatJeepAdventure3 жыл бұрын
Transmission rebuild is next! Life has been crazy. Hoping to get that rebuild done in the next 3-4 weeks.

@@ThatJeepAdventure I look forward to it! By the way- I wrote a tune about my CJ5. Check out the video if you dare: kzbin.info/www/bejne/mpiXanqZaKx-mK8

Matt is there any good Wheeling spots in south Mississippi?
@ThatJeepAdventure3 жыл бұрын
Not much around South MS really. Mostly gonna be National Forrest stuff and powerline trails. I'm not too familiar with where people go around here honestly. The closet to home that I would wheel is probably Sicily Island, LA

I've had enough of this I'll go watch the Subaru guy struggle

What have you done to your exhaust to get it sounding like that??? Sounds great
@ThatJeepAdventure3 жыл бұрын
Thanks! Nothing fancy really. Magnaflow high flow cat and muffler! Still running stock manifold and everything. Well, I guess it is cut off right after it goes over the rear axle and tips back down, but it didn’t sound much different before I cut it off there. I just cut it so it wouldn’t keep smashing the tip
@Billy283762 жыл бұрын
@@ThatJeepAdventure I’ve replaced mine 3 times now because I keep Smashing the tip. 😆

And I'm not dogging him he just doesn't have the right set up for those ledges

Seems like it did pretty well to me for a small tire Jeep. Couple rock stacks to get though a pretty tough trail is a win Id say though
@tomfoolery5619 Жыл бұрын
But he did ok for a 2.5 and a big set of boots with small axles. Instead of just sending it, he took his time and made it. And had fun!
@JohnLewis-ij1gp Жыл бұрын
I mean with the right gearing you would be able to make anything but he needs like 5:38 and his axles won't take those gears
@tomfoolery5619 Жыл бұрын
@JohnLewis-ij1gp True enough John. Good point.

At least they have an excuse no two speed transfer case

Matt Don’t be scared of 37s on a 2.5 with d 30 and 8.8. Been doing it for 5 years.
@ThatJeepAdventure3 жыл бұрын
Good to know! Stopping power is OK? What gears you running?
@JohnLewis-ij1gp2 жыл бұрын
I would have pulled cable winched and drove at the same time I wouldn't have stressed my dry train with the wheel hop like he's doing
@ThatJeepAdventure2 жыл бұрын
If you’re built right you don’t have to worry about breaking though
@JohnLewis-ij1gp2 жыл бұрын
I really think he needs to go to a lower transfer case gear set or lower axle gears he's struggling and it's a standard
@ThatJeepAdventure2 жыл бұрын
Definitely need a 4:1 tcase. I’ve got 5.13s and 37s now and it’s actually a lot better but still need the atlas. A lot of what your hearing that sounds like motor strain is me feathering the clutch. The 4.88s and 35s had good crawl, just not 4:1 crawl
