I saw them back n the day at a huge festival of huge rock bands... I wasn't even a fan and the BLEW ME THE F AWAY... Sounded Jus as polished as this and better than the record... Kip sang every verse chorus scream all.of it song after song n reb Jus slayed every guitarist...they were Jus too tight too good and a bit too late in the 80s...

Metallica can make fun but Motley Crue alone got more girls than all the bands of the thrash genre. Glam was attractive, full of virtuosos, and good music that you could dance to. Thrash, while not entirely bad, doesnt give you that amount of fun.

Kip winger is somewhat credited for killing hair metal because he was almost too good looking, or at least that’s what was said at the time ! They could rock out with the best of them!
@Bikeslinger2 жыл бұрын
D Lowe you might ironically be on to something. I always say Rush never became the new Led Zeppelin because Geddy Lee was then ugliest man in rock ‘n’ roll 😂 but it’s the exact opposite with Winger. He was SO good looking that people had a hard time taking him seriously AND a lot of people were jealous (Lars)…😮 I saw them a few times at the height of their power and could NOT believe how tight they were. Save for some perfectly placed breaks (like at 7:06) and slightly different lyrics and inflections from Kip (both for emphasis and enhancement of their live performance) I joked that they had to be lip-syncing because it was like listening to the CD (which they CLEARLY weren’t) They were just a little late to the hair metal scene (which was already in decline) and then Smells Like Teen Spirit came along and drove the biggest nail into hair metal’s coffin
