Theirs a reason he was Alice Coopers bass player at one point! Alice’s comeback albums constrictor and raise your fist both feature Kip on bass. Constrictor brought Alice back to the masses after his previous two albums were pretty much failures.

While this band is thought of as a "side show" because of how they were promoted, and also cashing in off every woman alive being in love with Kip........Boy were they freaking tight. Their actual ability as musicians was dramatically overlooked. All of them were studio level musicians.

@@stevekrupey3611 I agree but that's also a choice made by the following generations after, I'm a guitar player myself and was 18 year's old when Eddie Van Halen came out with eruption, I don't remember anyone complaining that someone took the initiative to do with a guitar what he did, well maybe with exception of a few jealous guitarist but it was a mindset the generation I grew up in had and that basically ment you needed to develop some talent and that's what you see there in that video it mattered back then I can guarantee you that.

Think what you will about these lyrics, but these guys chops are not in question. They are all top 1% guys within their crafts. Reb is beyond monstrous, perhaps unparalleled in his technical tools. Kip is a generational live singer. Hitting that note blind after coming in after the live pause is absolutely insane. You do see singers just casually pulling that off. This era was characterized by a lot of studio creations and live performances featuring partial tracks. None of that here. Simply masterful!

Probably the most musically talented of the "hair bands" ..Kip Morganstein Beach are just tremendous musicians and will always be underestimated..except by those of us who know the truth! Listen to the new stuff..youll be amazed at how well they've held it together

It's just my opinion, but I think this kind of music reached its apex with Winger. Their famous producer, Beau Hill, once said they were the best live band he ever saw.

He should have seen RUSH live.......I admit though Reb Beach is spectacular. The Beatles were probably the best at live sound quality, being able to lay down a whole album in one day instead of one to six months like most bands. To this day it's still unheard of. .

over the years i’ve watched DOZENS of 80’s hair bands live from that decade. Kip Winger is the FIRST i’ve see where his vocals legit sounds great, even Vince Neil was shaky and don’t get me started on Brett Micheal’s.

Kip Winger is one of the most talented musicians rock has ever seen. For a lead singer, he has it all, raspy voice, the looks, the presence. Plus being a Juliard grad, his songwriting and orchestration skills are second to none. Monster, monster musician.

Reb and Kip actually met doing studio sessions and formed winger. Every one of these guys were on point and top tier musicians. Unfortunately they weren’t treated with the respect they deserved.

I remember when they hit the scene. So many people wrote them off as another glam rock, “cram another gorgeous , namesake, rock god down your throat” at a time when everyone was getting sick of it…. But for some reason no one could get their hits out of their head….. True songwriters, performers, and rock gods - just too late to the party. I sincerely hope they’ve at least gotten tons of money, and tons of fun and satisfaction from contributing to the world of rock music!
